With the rapid development of China's economy,the number of people learning Chinese continues to increase,and learners' needs for Chinese have also shown diversified development.This poses a challenge to our Chinese teaching,and we can't just stick to the contents of textbooks.The collection of film and television works is rich in cultural connotation.It can not only provide real language situations and various language forms,but also stimulate multiple senses such as sight and hearing,and impart knowledge in a more relaxed and pleasant way.Truly reflects the educational way of entertaining.This effectively makes up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching,while giving full play to learners' initiative.The correct and reasonable use of film and television works can help improve the teaching effect and enhance the comprehensive use of the target language.Of course,only film and television materials suitable for the learner's level and characteristics and matching the teaching objectives of traditional textbooks can exert its maximum value.On the basis of previous studies,this paper analyzes the necessity of applying video clips to teaching Chinese as a foreign language from the two aspects of the high context characteristics of Chinese and the defects of traditional teaching methods,and points out that video clips have many advantages in assisting traditional classroom teaching,such as enhancing students' comprehensive use of language,providing vivid language imitation materials and creating rich and colorful language situations.In addition,in the selection of film and television materials,it is pointed out that it must be consistent with the level of students and teaching goals,and also have characteristics of life and times.Based on the above content,this article finally selects a clip from the TV series "Little Joy" and applies it to the "New Perspective Advanced Chinese Course" in terms of topic fit,difficulty level,and fit with the teaching goals.The unit has carried out a feasibility analysis and provided a teaching design plan.The innovation of this article is to combine the textbook content with film and television works,and select the most suitable film material based on the topic of the textbook content and the teaching goals.It simply analyzes how a certain film is used,and does not combine traditional teaching with film and television teaching to truly play the auxiliary role of film and television works.
