A Survey And Research On The Translation Of Ancient Chinese Texts For Foreign Students

From the perspective of text translation,which can reflect the comprehensive ability of ancient Chinese for foreign students,this paper studies the problems,causes and Countermeasures in the translation of ancient Chinese text for foreign students by using questionnaire survey,interview survey,classroom observation and corpus analysis.It is found that there are four major problems in the translation of ancient Chinese texts for foreign students: omission,redundancy,error and nonstandard expression.Based on the investigation results and the analysis of the corpus,this paper points out the specific causes of various problems,including the following four direct common causes: the lack of basic knowledge of ancient Chinese,carelessness in translation,the lack of skills in ancient Chinese translation,the lack of awareness and habits of standardized expression of modern Chinese,the weakness of learning motivation of foreign students,and the lack of teaching management of teachers There are three indirect common reasons for the teaching materials,as well as the individual reasons for the inability to write Chinese characters,the psychological impact of bad emotions,the interference of personal subjective experience,the negative transfer of modern Chinese,the impact of cultural differences and mother tongue,the impact of improper learning strategies,and the inadequate mastery of modern Chinese knowledge.In the end,the author puts forward some specific countermeasures and suggestions to help foreign students improve the translation level of ancient Chinese texts.
