Purpose:To evaluate the efficacy of staged fumigation in the treatment of postoperative complications of perianal abscess with burning poison,a retrospective study was conducted among the medical records in the Department of Proctology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Material and Method:The medical records of patients with perianal abscess treated by incision and drainage combined with thread drawing therapy were collected from the Department of Proctology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(the length of stay was between September 1,2019 and December 31,2020).According to the relevant criteria,64 cases were selected. They were divided into two groups,34 cases of conventional fumigation treatment were included in the conventional fumigation group, and 30 cases of staged fumigation treatment were included in the staged fumigation group. The fumigation treatment was twice a day for treatment course of more than 2 weeks. Then the information of patients was extracted, including postoperative pain degree, the edges of perianal skin, wound granulation tissue growth, the time of wound healing and adverse reactions occur. Finally, the collected data was input into IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 statistical software which can conduct statistical analysis on relevant data.Results:1.The statistical results showed that there were significant differences in pain scores between the staged fumigation group and the conventional fumigation group on the 3rd,5th and 7th day after the operation(P < 0.05).The staged fumigation group was significantly better than the conventional fumigation group. However, there were no significant differences on the day after the operation and the 14 th day after the operation(P > 0.05).2.According to the statistical results, significant differences in the score of the anal edge of the edges of perianal skin were existed between groups on the 3rd,5th and 7th day after the operation(P < 0.05).In addition, the staged fumigation group was significantly better than the conventional fumigation group. On the 14 th day after the operation, there were no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.The statistical results showed that in terms of promoting the growth of granulation tissue, the differences between the staged fumigation group and the conventional fumigation group were significant on the 7th and 14 th day after the operation(P < 0.05).The staged fumigation group was significantly better than the conventional fumigation group. However, the differences between groups were not existed on the 5th day after the operation(P > 0.05).4.In terms of promoting wound healing, the results of the two groups were significantly different on the average healing time(P < 0.05),which the staged fumigation group was better than the conventional fumigation group.5.The statistical results showed that the cure rate of the staged fumigation group was higher than that of the conventional fumigation group after 14 days of treatment(P < 0.05).6.There were no obvious adverse reactions discovered during the use of the two groups of herbs.Conclusion:1.Fumigation and washing by stages not only can effectively reduce the wound pain score, anal margin skin edema score and postoperative wound granulation tissue growth score, but also can improve the wound healing rate.In other words, this scheme which can improve postoperative pain, edema and other symptoms has good effect in promoting postoperative wound healing.2.There was no obvious adverse reaction such as allergy, which proved that the clinical application of phased fumigation was relatively safe.
