Feasibility Study On The Identification Of TCM Constitution By Tongue Image

Purpose:In this study,the results of the identification of TCM physique by tongue image and health questionnaire were compared,and the relationship between TCM physique and tongue image was explored to prove the feasibility of tongue image identification for TCM physique,and to find the influence on tongue image recognition.Relevant factors of Chinese medicine physique.This research can lay a solid theoretical foundation for the identification of TCM physique through tongue picture in the future,and it also opens up new ideas and methods for the research field of TCM physique identification.Method:All samples come from the first and second undergraduate students of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine who voluntarily participated in the survey from October 2019 to November 2020 on the basis of prior informed consent.All students who met the inclusion criteria,a total of 428 cases.Tongue analysis and TCM physique and health questionnaire were used to identify TCM physique.The TCM Physique and Health Questionnaire is based on the standard of "Classification and Judgment of TCM Physique" issued by the Chinese Society of Chinese Medicine in 2009 for adults(<60 years old).Tongue picture analysis is based on the basic theories of TCM and TCM diagnostics and related theoretical knowledge of TCM clinical.At least three deputy chief TCM physicians and experts with more than ten years of clinical experience are required to make a comprehensive judgment on the collected tongue pictures,and the minority obeys the majority.The principle of determining the results of the analysis of tongue pictures.Then import all the collected data into an Excel table to establish a database,and use SPSS19.0statistical software for data statistics and analysis.The average of measurement data is represented by standard deviation ±,count data is represented by frequency,and categorical data is represented by X2 test.Result:1.In all 428 samples,the results of tongue analysis and health status questionnaire to identify TCM physique showed that there were 302 consistent cases and 126 inconsistent cases.The overall agreement rate was about 70.56%.2.In each physique type,the consistency rate from high to low is: damp-heat constitution(85.17%),blood stasis constitution(83.33%),peaceful constitution(79.78%),yin deficiency constitution(75.68%),yang Deficiency constitution(74.47%),phlegm damp constitution(69.70%),qi deficiency constitution(65.00%),qi stagnation constitution(0.00%),special constitution(0.00%)3.The two factors of gender and obesity have little effect on the consistency rate of the tongue picture and the health status questionnaire to identify the TCM physique results.The difference is not statistically significant(p>0.05)4.Two factors,the environment in which the picture of the tongue picture was taken and the degree of understanding of the health questionnaire have a greater impact on the consistency rate of the tongue picture and the health questionnaire in the identification of TCM physical fitness results.The difference is statistically significant(p<0.05)Conclusion:1.The consistency rate of the results of tongue picture and health status questionnaire in identifying TCM physique is as high as 70.56%.Therefore,the method of using tongue picture analysis to identify TCM physique has high feasibility.2.In each physique,the consistency rate of the results of identifying the TCM physique in the questionnaire of each physique and the health status,the consistency rate of the two physiques of Qi-stagnation constitution and idiosyncratic constitution is 0%.Therefore,the result of the agreement rate of the two physiques of Qi depression and idiosyncratic physique has a significant impact on the agreement rate of the overall result.3.The two factors of gender and obesity have no significant influence on the consistency rate of the tongue picture and the health status questionnaire to identify the TCM physique results.4.Two factors,the environment where the tongue picture was taken and the degree of understanding of the health questionnaire have a significant impact on the consistency rate of the tongue picture and the health questionnaire in identifying the TCM physique results.
