Purpose: To explore the clinical efficacy of eye acupuncture combined with Shu and Mu combined with acupoint therapy in the treatment of post-apoplexy constipation, and to analyze its clinical effectiveness.Materials and methods: All the patients in this study were from the inpatient department of the Second Department of Encephalopathy Rehabilitation of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a total of 60 patients were included during the period from June 2020 to December 2020.The patients were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional acupuncture. The main acupoints were Tianshu,Shangjuxu,Zhigou,Dachangyu and Zusanli, and acupoints were selected according to syndrome differentiation. In the experimental group,Dachangshu and Tianshu,Feishu and Zhongfu were selected according to the principle of Dachangshu and Tianshu, and Feishu and Zhongfu. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The total score of TCM symptoms, the clinical scoring scale for constipation patients(CCS)and the self-assessment questionnaire for quality of life for constipation patients(PAC-QOL)were selected for observation, and the improvement of each index before and after treatment and follow-up between the two groups were compared. The clinical recovery rate and total effective rate were compared between the two groups.SPSS22.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data.Results:1.Comparison between groups showed that there were statistically significant differences in TCM syndrome score,CCS total score and PAC-QOL score between the experimental group and the control group before and after treatment(P < 0.05).2.Comparison between groups showed that after treatment and follow-up,the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in improving the total score of TCM symptoms, total CCS score and PAC-QOL score, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).3.Comparison among groups showed that the clinical recovery rate and total effective rate of experimental group were significantly higher than that of control group, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).4.During the treatment,no obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups.Conclusion:1.Eye acupuncture combined with Shu and Mu combined with acupoint therapy and conventional acupuncture were effective in the treatment of constipation after stroke, and no obvious adverse reactions occurred.2.Eye acupuncture combined with Shu and Mu combined with acupoint therapy in the treatment of post-stroke constipation is better than conventional acupuncture in alleviating constipation symptoms, improving patients' quality of life and clinical effectiveness.3.The long-term effect of eye acupuncture combined with Shu and Mu combined with acupoint therapy is better than conventional acupuncture.
