Purpose:By collecting the four examinations of elderly frail patients who are older than 60 years old,and using cluster analysis to explore initially the TCM syndrome and sign's characteristics of elderly frailty syndrome,it provides a basis for traditional Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment of elderly frailty syndrome.Material and method:Adopting cross-sectional research methods to enlist elderly inpatients from the Department of Cardiology,Geriatrics and others,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of TCM,and the Department of veteran cadres' Rehabilitation and Endocrinology Rehabilitation of Liaoning Rehabilitation Center, and filter patients with frailty syndrome who accord with the inclusion and exclusive criteria,Refer to "Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine" 5th Consumption and Wei Syndrome Part," Geriatrics of TCM" Geriatric Frailty part," Diagnostics of Chinese Medicine " 2nd four examinations section,"Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines · Aged Frailty(Formulated)" part of Diagnostic syndrome and sign, combined with the TCM literature and familiar clinical symptoms of elderly frailty to design the four-diagnosis information collection form of TCM,and collect the four examinations of TCM for inpatients who were diagnosed frailty syndrome.Enter the patients' information into the Excel 2019 software. After the survey was completed, another researcher checked the data to ensure the accuracy of the results. Finally, importing the data into SPSS 22.0 software, then analyzing the frequency and percentage of each symptom by statistics, and use the hierarchical clustering for analysis. In order to get the TCM syndrome type of elderly frailty.Results:1.This survey investigated 238 elderly inpatients, including 197 elderly frailty patients, which was 82.77% of the total patients,23 pre-frailty patients, which was 9.66% of the total patients, and 18 non-frailty elderly patients, which was 7.57% of the total patients.2.In this survey,in male patients, the incidence of frailty was 76.53%,in female patients, the incidence of frailty was 87.14%;the incidence of frailty had nothing to do with gender(P>0.05);238 elderly hospitalizations in this evaluation were between 60 and 97 years old, with a median of 74 years and an interquartile range of 68-81 years.Patients with frailty syndrome are between 60 and 97 years old, with a median of 75 years and an interquartile range of 70-82 years. In the 60-69 age group, the prevalence of frailty was 62.67%,in the70-79 age group, the prevalence of frailty was 91.11%,and among the 80-89 age group, the prevalence of frailty was 91.80%.Among the elderly over 90,the prevalence of frailty was100%,and the prevalence of elderly frailty in elderly inpatients increased with age(P<0.05).3.Among the 197 elderly debilitating patients,99 were in normal nutritional status,81 were at malnurished risk, and 17 were malnourished;patients with two or more chronic diseases at the same time included 162 cases,35 cases suffered from only one chronic disease.4.Among the 197 elderly frail patients included, the top 15 symptoms were: fatigue, mental fatigue, amnesia, breath hard, weak limbs, sore waist and knees, chest tightness, dizziness, giddiness, palpitations, insomnia, poor appetite, laziness of taiking, sweating, and deafness. The most common tongue conditions are: red tongue, dark tongue, light tongue, thin and white coating, and white and greasy coating;the most common pulse conditions are deep-thin pulse, weak pulse, slippery pulse.5.After cluster analysis, according to professional knowledge, the above-mentioned 4 clustering results are summarized into four syndromes, namely: yang deficiency in kidney and spleen,phlegm-dampness hinder syndrome, deficiency in Qi-blood and blood stasis syndrome, and liver-yang hyperactivity syndrome.Conclusion:1.In this study, there is no obviously difference in the prevalence of frailty syndrome between sexes. With the increase of age,the prevalence of frailty syndrome gradually increases.2.In this survey, many patients with elderly frailty syndrome coexist with multiple diseases.3.In this survey, the four TCM syndromes of elderly hospitalized frailty syndrome patients were yang deficiency in kidney and spleen,phlegm-dampness hinder syndrome, deficiency in Qi-blood and blood stasis syndrome, and liver-yang hyperactivity syndrome.
