A Casework Intervention Study On Suicidal Ideation Crisis Among Elderly Empty Nesters In Urban Villages

With the increasing number of aging and empty nest of the elderly,the living conditions and health problems of the elderly have received more and more attention from the society.Health problems of the elderly include mental health and physical health,which can be addressed by professional medical institutions,but mental health problems require emotional support for the elderly.As more and more elderly empty-nesters are suffering from emotional loss,it is easy to create social isolation because of lack of action,so they will have psychological pressure and depression when they encounter difficulties,and greatly increases the risk of suicide.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the elderly of empty nest and intervene for their suicide crisis.Most of the existing literature studies the elderly living alone,or in the study of empty nest elderly in urban villages,less targeted research on the elderly.The author believes that in order to intervene in advance,we should know the motive of the elder's suicide in advance,and the idea of suicide is the beginning of the elder's suicide.Therefore,this paper mainly analyzes the relationship between suicide ideation and suicide inducement of elderly empty nest elders through literature method and interview method,and based on the crisis intervention model,uses the social work method case work to intervene the suicide prevention of elderly empty nest elders.The results show that through case follow-up,elderly empty nest elders with suicide crisis can be intervened and have new hope for their future life.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,including the research background and significance,the research content,the theoretical basis,the research methods and the research summary;the second chapter is mainly taking the aged empty nest elderly in Urban village street as the research object,the third chapter is about the case of a suicide crisis,and demonstrates the feasibility and practicability of social work methods in the suicide crisis;Section IV provides additional recommendations for intervention in the suicide crisis.
