Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Bamboo Industry Development In Zhongxian County

Bamboo has a short growth cycle,high yield,easy renewal,wide adaptability,multiple uses,high economic benefits and is a treasure all over.The bamboo industry is not only an ecological industry,but also a sunrise industry,which plays an important role in helping farmers to get rid of poverty and get rich,promoting regional economic development and realising rural revitalisation.Located in the central part of Chongqing,Zhongxian County is situated in the heart of the Three Gorges reservoir area,where sunshine,soil,water and temperature are all suitable for the growth of bamboo.After continuous construction and development,the bamboo industry,as the second largest agricultural specialty industry in Zhongxian County,has made remarkable achievements in low-yield forest transformation,bamboo shoot and bamboo dual-use,and bamboo resource cultivation.From 2008 to the present,the bamboo forest area has increased from about 70,000 mu to 211,000 mu,and the output value has increased from 12 million yuan to 144.6 million yuan,which have all made corresponding contributions in promoting farmers’ income and ecological civilization.However,there are still certain problems in the process of industrial development.Although the bamboo-producing regions in China have explored many experiences and measures conducive to the development of the bamboo industry,the degree of development of the industry varies from place to place due to regional differentiation,different resource allocation and other factors,and there is still a need to explore its unique development.In this regard,this paper defines the concept of industry and bamboo industry on the basis of reference and review of domestic and international studies related to the development of bamboo industry.With the help of relevant principles of sustainable development theory,industrial chain theory and industrial integration theory,a combination of theoretical research and field investigation is used.Firstly,a brief overview of the development of the bamboo industry in Zhongxian County is given.Secondly,the current situation of the development of the bamboo industry in Zhongxian County is analysed,starting from the management of bamboo resources,the industrial chain,the development of industrial integration,etc.The study has identified problems in the development of the bamboo industry in Zhongxian County,such as low utilisation of bamboo resources,non-standardised social service organisations,low levels of industrial chain development and insufficient industrial integration.Finally,taking into account the actual situation of the development of the bamboo industry in Zhonxian County,this paper proposes countermeasures to enhance government policy guidance,strengthen management,build a production and management model of "base construction and sharing",improve the quality of bamboo resources,accelerate the development of the bamboo industry chain,bring into play the comprehensive benefits of bamboo resources,and accelerate industrial integration to achieve sustainable development.This paper aims to provide reference for the development of bamboo industry in Zhongxian County,and help Zhongxian County become a green industry with ecological,social and economic benefits in the northeastern part of Chongqing and even the Three Gorges Reservoir Area at an early date.
