Feline panleukopenia is an acute contact infectious disease of cats and cats caused by feline parvovirus. It is usually characterized by biphasic fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, hemorrhagic enteritis, severe leukopenia, reproductive disorder of pregnant females and high mortality of kittens.FPV can survive in the environment for months or even years, and has strong resistance,so it can thoroughly disinfect the contaminated goods and environment. In order to understand the clinical symptoms and pathogenesis of suspected FPV cats in Shenyang, case collection was conducted in Shenyang from 2014 to 2018.A total of 2310 suspected cat cases of FPV were collected and investigated.Of the 2310 suspected FPV cases from 2014 to 2018,286 cases were found to be FPV positive by clinical diagnosis and laboratory examination, with a positive rate of 12.38%(286/2310).Laboratory results of age,sex and clinical symptoms of FPV-positive cats showed that 241 cats less than 6 months old accounted for 84.26%(241/286),178 cats vomited for 62.24%(178/286),216 cats had diarrhea for 75.52%(216/286),and more than 80% of the infected cats' white blood cells were found to be lower than normal in routine blood tests.According to the statistics of cat breeds, several breeds with high FPV positive rate were British short-haired cat,American short-haired cat,Gingera cat and Siamese cat,and the highest positive rate of British short-haired cat was 20.58%.Seasonal variations are closely related to the number of cats infected with FPV.They can occur in all seasons of the year, but in spring and autumn, the number of cats infected in winter is the least. In spring, the number of FPV positive was 76,accounting for 26.57%(76/286)of the total number;in autumn, the number of FPV positive was 103,accounting for 36.01%(103/286)of the total numbe.Statistical data show that immunization is very helpful for the prevention of feline plague virus and significantly reduces the infection rate of FPV.For cats of different ages, regular injection of vaccines on time is of great significance for the prevention of FPV.
