Research On The Impact Of BYD's Strategic Flexibility On Strategic Performance Under The Impact Of The New Crown

Strategic flexibility is related to dynamic environment.The purpose of strategic flexibility is to enable enterprises to quickly identify the changes of external environment,mobilize resources to overcome the adverse environmental impacts to sustain their competitive advantages.Using BYD as a case study,this paper studies the firm's strategic flexibility from a global perspective,which extends the researches on the enterprise strategy from the point of view of focusing on single drivers such as market,competition and resources to global views Due to the influence of COVID-19,most enterprises in 2020 have had a hard time.However,BYD responded to the dynamic environment actively and obtained excellent performance.What are the factors contributing to BYD's success? This paper analyzes its strategic flexibility in the setting of COVID-19's impact,divides strategic flexibility into four dimensions,namely,resource flexibility,organizational flexibility,cultural flexibility and leadership flexibility and studies their influence to BYD's strategic performance and the influencing paths.The results show that leadership flexibility plays an important role in the adaptability of enterprises in dynamic environment.Management dynamically matches the flexibility of resources,organization and culture,and makes countermeasures to improve the strategic performance of enterprises.Resource flexibility is the foundation of leadership flexibility.If there is no necessary resource flexibility,leadership flexibility cannot be carried out;the good operation of organizational flexibility and cultural flexibility provides guarantee for leadership flexibility,and further optimize the strategic performance of enterprises.This paper also carries out the research on the flexible mechanism with specific achievements,such as the flexible mechanism in the strategic adjustment of "changing production masks" and the flexible mechanism in the strategic adjustment of "new energy vehicles",so as to strengthen the richness of the case.
