Promote Economic Growth In The Western Region By Increasing Air Cargo Volume

Transportation sector is one of the most important component of economic development in China.It means the package of services about the space transfer process of mankind and goods,such as highway transportation,railway transportation,waterway transportation,air transportation,pipeline transportation,transport infrastructure of the city and operating industry.As one of the most important material production,transportation sector put in touch with socially productive,allocation,exchange and consumers.The premises of the labor division,communication,cooperation and competition of global economy base on safe and efficient shipping.According to the history of world economy,the civil aviation is not only a type of transportation,but high-quality resources.Regional economy can exceed the limits of geography and space through civil aviation,and participate in international work-divided system directly.Many cities of the world have created superior business,entrepreneurship,employment,settlement environment,thereby improved the regional economy through civil aviation.This paper takes the relationship between the annual air cargo throughput and GDP of the airports in western regions as the research object,and this data altogether counts the annual cargo throughput data of 12 provinces(cities)in western regions: Inner Mongolia,Yunnan,Guangxi,Sichuan,Shanxi,Tibet,Xinjiang,Guizhou,Qinghai,Gansu,Ningxia and Chongqing,and constructs the provincial panel simultaneous equation group model.From the results of regression model,it can be concluded that there is no significant interaction between the overall economic development of the western region and aviation in 2008-2017.Economic development promotes the development of air transport industry,but the development of air transport industry has a limited role in promoting economic development.Considering that the variance of each variable is large in descriptive statistics,and different stages of economic development may have an impact on the correlation between economic growth and air transport,the heterogeneity analysis is carried out.According to the regression results,in relatively developed regions,economic development and aviation industry can complement each other and become endogenous variables of economic growth.However,in areas with weak economic development,air transport resources have not been fully utilized.So,with the rapidly developing economy and increased standard of living,China’s airport industry is expected to undergo rapid developmental growth.But aviation resource is still underutilized in underdeveloped areas.The impact of aviation and economic development fall into three main categories: direct influence,indirect influence,inducing influence,catalytic effect.Hence,it makes sense looking for development issues in aviation transportation,take advantage of it and drives economies,promote the upgrading of industrial structure.
