Before the advent of high-speed railway-the traffic tools have established their respective advantages and using scope, basic has formed a relatively stable pattern. High-speed rail as a quick, safe, comfortable, low energy consumption, large capacity of new way of transportation, brings to the passenger travel the new choice, but also profoundly influenced the comprehensive transportation corridor passenger transport structure. These two modes t both aim at rapid transit passengers. The high degree of consistency of the transportation market positioning determines the substitute relationship between each other, resulting in the highly competition. According to the high-speed railway and civil aviation planning, China’s high-speed railway and civil aviation will show a fast development trend for a period of time in the future. Research on mode split and reasonably define the relationship between high speed railway and civil aviation, has the vital significance to optimize allocation of transport resources and improve the efficiency of two kinds of transportation mode of transportation, give convenience to passenger travel and promote the coordinated development between transportation.The main context of this dissertation is as follows:① high-speed rail and civil aviation development status and influence factors analysisIntroduce the developing trends of these two transportation modes, high-speed rail and civil aviation. Analyze the competition and cooperation relationships of high-speed rail and civil aviation in the field of long-distance travel. And based on the current data, analyze the impact that high-speed rail had on civil aviation on passenger load factor, capacity, profitability, route network, etc. Also analyze the comparative advantages on operating speed, long-distance travel, network accessibility, operating costs, etc. That civil aviation may still has with the shock from high-speed rail. Combined SP and RP survey methods to design the survey plan and to obtain the basic data to build the model.② Build the mode choice model in transportation corridorsBased on the theory of discrete choice model, build the binomial Logit model to analyze the function and its main variables, and define the calculation methods of the model parameters. Based on the passenger constitute of high-speed rail, analyze from three aspects including transport paths, passenger types, and range of travel distance, to define the study range of the mode choice model. Analyze the main influence factors from transportation path, passenger characteristics, and travel characteristics.(3) The sharing model based on operation conditions of high-speed rail and civil aviationMainly considering the operation conditions of these two transportation modes like speed and ticket fares, build traffic sharing model for transportation system hub with high-speed rail and civil aviation, or for the condition that these two junctions’ urban traffic conditions are roughly the same. Analyze operation properties of high-speed rail and civil aviation from four aspects:speedy, economy, comfort, and safety, and normalize their values. Analyze passenger travel choice characteristics, and clear the main considerations for passengers making their travel choice are travel destinations and passenger revenues. And classify the passenger flows based on the analysis above. Based on the survey data and different characteristics of different travel choices, using AHP, quantize the variable travel preferences and clear the weighted values for different types of travel choices. Based on all the analysis above, finally build the travel choice model for different passenger types. What’s more, take the corridor from Shanghai to Tianjin as an example, measure the sharing rate for civil aviation if high-speed railway opened up.④ Sharing model based on the traffic of high-speed railway and civil aviationIt is based on whole process analysis from the initial point to the end point of trip, covering the traffic analysis of the urban area, which applies to situation of serious divergence in traffic conditions between high speed railway and civil airport. It first introduces the main traffic methods in the urban areas, analyzing the primary traffic development method and traffic sharing situation both home and abroad. It also does the quantitative research on the rapidity, economy and comfort property of traffic, as well as the impacts of traffic on the utility function of passenger volume. According to the transportation investigation data, it evaluates the time value coefficient of working time and leisure time respectively at the basis of passenger time value theory and traditional production method of evaluating time value. It takes cost as the unit to quantify the various factors in the whole process of the trip, building the passenger volume sharing model based on the general cost. It also evaluates sharing ratio of civil aviation based on the opening of high speed railway, taking the pass between Beijing and Nanjing as an example.⑤ the analysis of impacts of high speed railway on the civil aviation, taking Nanjing airport as an exampleThe operation of high speed railway has an important effect not only on the passenger volume sharing of civil aviation but also on the hinterland area of airport. This research defines the connotation and influential factors of the hinterland area, taking the Nanjing Lukou international airport as the example. It defines the hinterland area of Nanjing airport from the aspects of airport competitiveness and ground collecting and distributing traffic time. According to the operation of high speed railway and the research on the impacts of the change of airport ground collecting and distributing conditions on the comprehensive competitiveness of airport, it also redefines the hinterland area of airport under the circumstance of the operation of high speed railway. It analyzes the airline network structure of airport, studying the arrangement correlation between airline network and the corridor of high speed railway, doing the research on the impact of the operation of high speed railway on the passenger volume of civil aviation with the passenger volume sharing model.
