With the gradual implementation of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" highspeed rail network in China,high-speed rail has become an important mode of passenger transport in China with its advantages of punctuality, convenience and speed, and plays an increasingly significant role in promoting the economy of cities along the line.Knowledge-intensive business services(KIBS),which accounts for more than half of China’s GDP,is the largest industry in China’s national economy, representing innovation ability and technological strength, and an important embodiment of the country’s comprehensive competitiveness. This paper will combine the two to study the impact of high-speed rail on KIBS agglomeration in cities along the line.By combing the relevant theories of service industry agglomeration, the impact of high-speed rail on service industry agglomeration and KIBS agglomeration, this paper believes that there are still areas worthy of further study in the impact of high-speed rail on KIBS agglomeration.According to the classification of service industry by the National Bureau of statistics and the industry characteristics of KIBS,this paper divides it into six major industries: information industry, finance industry, education industry, medical industry, scientific research industry and business service industry.Through the research and analysis of the impact factors and causes of KIBS agglomeration, this paper analyzes the mechanism of high-speed rail on KIBS agglomeration. At the same time, this paper calculates and analyzes the overall agglomeration situation and characteristics of the Pearl River Delta city cluster, and finds that KIBS of the Pearl River Delta city cluster is in the trend of agglomeration as a whole, but the coastal cities around Guangzhou and Shenzhen have a high degree of agglomeration, and the agglomerations are distributed in the central and southern regions of the city cluster, while the inland cities such as Qingyuan,Zhaoqing,Yunfu and other KIBS gather The degree of cohesion is not affected by the opening of high-speed railway. In order to further study the impact of high-speed rail on the KIBS cluster, this paper uses the regional average concentration rate, combined with the specialization index and diversification index as the measurement indicators to build a multi-stage did measurement model, and studies the results and characteristics of the impact of highspeed rail on the KIBS cluster from the overall and sub sectors, specialization and diversification perspectives. The empirical results show that the opening of high-speed rail can promote the overall agglomeration of KIBS and the agglomeration of information industry and business service industry in the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, and has the greatest impact on the agglomeration degree of business service industry, followed by information industry. At the same time, the construction of high-speed rail is conducive to the specialized agglomeration of KIBS but not conducive to the diversified agglomeration. In addition, the construction of high-speed rail will restrain the agglomeration degree of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and weaken the siphon effect of the two cities.
