As a subsidiary of the world's top 500 China Electric Power Construction Group,the KM Survey and Design Institute has been in the forefront of the national top 100 comprehensive survey and design units for many years.However,with the saturation and shrinkage of the domestic hydropower market,the challenges and threats faced by the KM Survey and Design Institute are increasing.To this end,the development strategy of the KM Survey Design Institute is researched in order to find a strategy suitable for its own development to adapt to new changes,so as to achieve its own better and faster development.This article studies the external environment and internal environment of the KM Survey and Design Institute.Taking the development strategy of the Institute as the research object,the SWOT analysis method is used to study the following results:1.According to the analysis of the external strategic environment,Myanmar,Laos,and Cambodia have maintained political stability,vigorously improved the investment environment,strengthened infrastructure construction,and attracted foreign investment to develop their economies,while maintaining high-level exchanges with China and promoting multi-field cooperation.The hydropower design markets in all three countries have great potential.In addition,the hydropower markets in Yunnan,Guizhou,and Sichuan have shrunk,but the water conservancy,transportation,and municipal design markets are full.This is conducive to the KM Survey and Design Institute based in Yunnan,radiating the development of Guizhou,Sichuan,Myanmar,Laos,Cambodia.According to the analysis of competitors,KM Survey and Design Research Institute has relatively strong competitors in the domestic survey and design field,and the market competition is fierce.2.In the internal environment analysis,many advantages and disadvantages of KM Survey and Design Institute were also found.The advantages are: the overall internal management is reasonable;the company's core competitiveness is strong;the comprehensive qualification ability is strong;the people-oriented family culture;the hydropower project has a brilliant performance.Disadvantages are: insufficient comprehensive management talents;unreasonable assessment system;not much performance in transformation business;weak invest ment and financing capabilities;single market operation model.3.Through the analysis of external environment,internal environment and SWOT,the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the design institute were analyzed,and combined with the SWOT analysis,the strategy of the KM Survey and Design Institute was proposed to consolidate the Myanmar hydropower design market and extend the Laos and Cambodian hydropower design market Based on the four strategies and implementation measures based on the Yunnan design market strategy and the radiating Guizhou and Sinchuan design market strategy,the KM survey and design institute's strategic implementation guarantee measures include performance management guarantee measures,strategic alliance guarantee measures,and market operation guarantee measures.Three safeguards.The research on the development strategy of KM Survey Design Institute is also of reference value to other homogeneous survey design institutes.
