Be it the emergence of“her economy”or“her power”,cosmetics videos have grown up in full swing.Due to the user composition and content orientation,the cosmetics videos constitute an“Internet Female Autonomous Community”with female groups as the main force,thus naturally being rendered with the value and potential of gender research.Exemplified by cosmetics videos from the well-known domestic video website Bilibili(hereinafter referred to as B),this thesis adopts a mixture of qualitative research methods such as discourse practice analysis and in-depth interview,as well as quantitative research such as questionnaire and survey.On this basis,it attempts to analyze the impact of cosmetics videos on the three dimensions of female users'body intentions,namely cognition,attitude,and behavior.Under the current background of widespread female physical anxiety and the prevalence of medical cosmetic micro-plastic surgery,it is of great significance to study the true impact of cosmetics videos,an emerging online media form,on the body intentions of young female,so as to promote female users to fight for their body discourse power in the media space and also realize the reconstruction of the subject.Furthermore,it can turn into the force to reconstruct the online gender order.Ultimately,it is able to improve the unequal gender order in the network media environment,and achieve the humanistic care that liberates the female body.This thesis firstly analyzes the discourse construction of cosmetics videos on the body.Specifically,it analyzes the top three cosmetics videos in the cosmetics popular zone from December 25th,2019,to May 25th,2020.According to the construction features of body discourse in cosmetics videos,it is found that the body discourse in cosmetics videos emphasizes the following three characteristics:(1)the aesthetic body of the figure dimension;(2)the medical body of the health dimension;(3)the ideal body of the temperament dimension.Secondly,the thesis conducts in-depth interviews with female users of cosmetics videos,which helps to comprehend their personal understanding of the above three different dimensions of body discourse.Given the content of the interview,it tries to analyze the influence of different dimensions of discourse construction on the subjective cognitive level of female users'body image.Finally,a questionnaire survey is conducted on 406 female users with experience in watching cosmetics videos,trying to verify the influence of cosmetics videos on female users'body intentions on a larger scale.The questionnaire survey measures the impact of cosmetics videos on the attitude of female users with body satisfaction,and measures the impact of cosmetics videos on the behavior of female users with self-objectification.According to the research,it turns out that the users experienced an interaction with positive and negative effect on their body intentions at the cognitive level from cosmetics videos.Among them,the construction of bloggers'aesthetic body discourse has a negative impact on the users'body self-cognition,while the discourse construction of body and temperament body will be a breakthrough in the construction of traditional aesthetic body discourse,from which users can receive positive emotional resources for positive physical cognition.However,according to the results of the questionnaire survey,the cosmetics videos positively affect the self-objectification of female users,but negatively affect their body satisfaction,which means that body satisfaction has a significant negative impact on self-objectification.That is,from the perspective of attitude and behavior,the cosmetics videos still have a significant management effect on female users'body intentions.In this regard,this thesis attempts to analyze the deep social meaning behind the influence of female users'body intentions from the two dimensions of individual and society.From a micro individual perspective,bloggers link the expression of female cosmetics expression with the construction of the gender subject in a blogger-user interaction path,thus creating a positive model of empathy for user body management.From user-user interactive path,female users can form a female community.Then through the sharing of body experience,they are able to weaken male gaze,as well as establish a female aesthetic and female discourse system.Therefore,from the perspective of individual cognition,users can draw from it the emotional resources of positive physical cognition.But from a macro social perspective,commercial forces tend to produce and manipulate the symbolic meaning of cosmetics through the mechanism of cosmetics discourse,which in turn exerts a subtle influence on the discipline and manipulation of female body intentions.Jumping out of the gender utopia of the cosmetics video platform,maybe female only try to achieve alternative imaginations of social identity.For this special media and cultural practice of cosmetics videos,however,it is still a possibility for us to find out the burst of female power and the germination of female subjective consciousness.
