| The design and production of clothes is entering into the moment of automatization and high-efficiency, with the development of technology of clothes CAD, the measurement of body dimension is already turned from the simple person-toutched method to non-contacting-automatic measurement . under the circumstance of contactlessness, how to acquire the related 3D-body dimension accurately and fast ,that is scientific research item investigateding by many enterprises, colleges and scientific institutions in our country and abroad.Today, body scanning has show a great proportion in providing 3D body automatic measurement, 3D scanning technology is now widely accepted for product design and development, 3D body scanners have distinct features and advantages, they can be grouped under four main categories: laser, infrared, structure light and photogrammetry. the production that adapt these method are putted into the market partly, common obstacles faced by all the body scanners are high cost complicated installation, large space and dark room requirement etc.To these problem ,we use single CCD camera ,take the digital image of front and side body , calibrate 3D data, and acquire the different point's coordinates of 3D body .though the measurement of digital image, you can acquire the length of body and the 2D-dimension of width and thickness directly, then you can use the mathematical approach to establish the mathematical model, and evaluate the girth, turn the dimension of width and thickness to the accordingly girth dimension . For the method of measuring the body directly and making clothes ,the vital statistics parameters(bust girth, waist girth and hip girth) must be measured, the three parameters are the necessary base for determining the clothes mark, because they can reflect various bodies basically.
