Research On Welfare Issues Of Laboratory Animals

With the progress of science and technology,experimental animals are increasingly used in all aspects of human scientific research and technological research activities,such as vaccine development,food safety testing,biomedical research and development,military exercises,etc.Taking life science research as an example,from primates to mice,nematodes and fruit flies,countless animals enter the laboratory every day to silently assist the new progress of human science research.It can be said that experimental animals are the propellants for the development of biological science and the main means of life science research.However,for a long time,we did not pay special attention to the feelings of these experimental animals,which are called "living instruments",but only used them as tools.With the gradual improvement of human civilization,"welfare of experimental animals" has gradually entered the field of vision of scholars.The level of a country's experimental animal welfare construction,to some extent,reflects the level of science and technology in that country and the height of a country's moral civilization.In fact,the welfare of experimental animals is not only the "spiritual link" between animal experiments and life sciences,but also an important symbol of international recognition of this scientific research achievement.In recent years,the emergence of SARS,bird flu and new coronal pneumonia are also closely related to the construction of animal welfare.Such incidents have caused great impacts on social public health safety and the overall economy of the country.What needs to be emphasized is that scientific research will inevitably bring scare,pain and even death to experimental animals,which contradicts the principle of respecting bioethics.On the other hand,it is impossible for scientific research to leave experimental animals until suitable substitutes are found.How to resolve such contradictions,what role does experimental animals play in human society and how should human beings treat experimental animals? Ethical thinking plays a vital role in these issues.The introduction of the first chapter of this paper introduces the research background,significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and innovation points of this paper.The second chapter analyzes the role of experimental animals in the progress of human science.Based on cases,it clarifies the close relationship between experimental animals and human beings,considers experimental animals as our indispensable partners,shows the importance of experimental animals,and draws out the welfare consciousness of experimental animals in the observation of these experimental animals.The third chapter sorts out the origin of the thought of experimental animal welfare,analyzes the development and recognition of experimental animal welfare in the major countries in the east and west and in the world,and compares the current situation of the construction of experimental animal welfare in China.The fourth chapter analyzes the problems existing in the construction of experimental animal welfare in our country and their impacts on scientific research,academic research and international honor in our country.In the last chapter,based on the current situation in our country,the author analyzes the specific situation and puts forward some thoughts on the ethical principles and development strategies of experimental animal welfare.What needs to be pointed out is that in the world of "science and technology,scientific technology,socialization of science and technology,social science and technology,and integration of economy and science and technology",the establishment of a sound ethical system and enhancement of people's ethical awareness of experimental animals can not only standardize people's behavior at the moral level,but also root the thought of experimental animals' welfare into people's hearts,optimize the harmonious relationship between people and experimental animals,and even the relationship between people and nature.Finally,the formation of a good harmonious social atmosphere is also conducive to continuously improving the development level of China's experimental animal welfare undertakings,thus more conducive to highlighting China's international image as a responsible country.
