Global climate change, which is characterized by climate warming, and the impact of climate change on the natural environment, socioeconomics, and human life, have become global issues in recent decades.Agriculture is the basis of human existence. However, agriculture is a sector that is vulnerable to the negative effects of climate change. As the world 's largest population,China 's 1.4 billion people depend closely on agriculture for its survival and development. The issue of climate change deserves everyone 's attention.Studies have shown that increasing farmers' awareness of climate change and adopting adaptive behaviors can effectively mitigate the impact of climate change on the agricultural sector. This paper first analyzes the time-varying characteristics of temperature and precipitation in Shaanxi Province from 1970 to 2018.Then,based on the questionnaires, this paper analyzes the farmers' awareness of climate change and adaptive behavior in Shaanxi Province. The results show that although the vast majority of farmers are aware of the occurrence of climate change, they lack a comprehensive understanding of the causes, performance and impact of climate change. In order to cope with climate change, most farmers in Shaanxi Province have taken countermeasures, but mainly passive adaptive behaviors. The farmers' perception of climate change is mainly affected by the education level of farmers, frequent communication with villagers, timely access to meteorological information, and the promotion of adaptive measures, while the farmers' adaptive behavior is mainly influenced by the obtain of agricultural loans, timely access to meteorological information, and the promotion of adaptive measures by villages, and there are significant differences in the main factors affecting male farmers 'and female farmers' climate change awareness and adaptive behavior.
