| At the primary school stage of compulsory education,the parents’ meeting understands and supervises the school management,school running and teachers’ teaching through different channels and methods.In this process,when some parents’ wishes and demands are not met,they will choose the method of complaint,put pressure on schools and teachers and supervise them.In this study,the parents of primary schools in X District of Nanjing complained about their schools,and the areas studied were analyzed by means of questionnaires,case collection and interviews.First of all,use the questionnaire survey and collect and sort out the cases of primary school parents complaining about schools in the research area in the past three years,and get a general understanding of the present situation of primary school parents’ complaints in the research area.Then,through interviews with teachers,education administrators and parents,we further explore the reasons why parents complain about the school,and understand the general methods for schools and teachers to deal with complaints.Then,through analysis,find out the commonness of parents’ complaints about schools,and then explore ways to reduce complaints.Finally,absorb the experience of complaint handling in primary schools in other regions,and combine it with the reality of primary schools in the region studied,so as to find effective strategies for teachers and education administrators to avoid parents’ complaints.This study found that in primary school,parents’ complaints about schools are common,and complaints are a manifestation of the relationship between home and school.On the one hand,education administrators and teachers don’t want to receive complaints from parents,but complaints are hard to avoid due to various factors.On the other hand,parents’ complaints about the school are not only an expression of their demands but also a kind of supervision over the school,which is reasonable to some extent and has both advantages and disadvantages.Furthermore,smooth and fast communication channels between home and school and harmonious relationship between home and school are the keys to reduce the occurrence of complaints.Since complaints can’t be avoided,school administrators and teachers can make some reference when dealing with complaints,so as to reasonably avoid and deal with complaints and reduce the negative impact of complaints. |
