In recent years,with more and more attention to quality education,cultivating students’ comprehensive ability has become a new educational focus for secondary vocational colleges.Traditional teaching methods are gradually unable to meet the development of students’ professional ability,and various new teaching methods are emerging one after another.The project-based teaching method has been widely used in various majors of secondary vocational colleges,but few in preschool education majors.The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching effect of the "Handwork of teaching aids and toys" course under the traditional teaching mode through questionnaire method,experimental method,work analysis method and interview method,analyze the feasibility of applying the project-based teaching method to the "Handwork of teaching aids and toys" course for secondary vocational preschool education majors,design the project teaching plan,carry out comparative experiments,and check its effectiveness.After a one-semester control experiment,which was carried out on students in the second grade of preschool education in a secondary vocational school,the data collected were analyzed by SPSS 28.0 to draw the following conclusions:(1)The teaching effect of the "Handwork of teaching aids and toys" course under the traditional teaching mode is not good.(2)It is feasible to apply the project teaching method to the "Handwork of teaching aids and toys" course.(3)The implementation of the project-based teaching method in the "Handwork of teaching aids and toys" course is effective.The students of the experimental class have stronger design and handwork ability and higher learning interest.Their handmade teaching aids and toys have better quality.And their comprehensive professional ability is greatly improved.
