Study Of Group Work On Alleviating The Depression Of The Elderly Who Lost Single Child ——Take The Elderly Who Lost Their Only Child In Shenyang’s H Street As An Example

Since the implementation of the one-child policy in China,there has been a unique group caused by the policy--the one-child family.As time goes by,more and more parents of the elderly losing only child bereaved families enter the old age,and they not only suffer from material troubles,but also suffer from depression and other spiritual troubles,which affect the quality of life.Therefore,compared with other groups,the elderly who have lost their only child are more vulnerable and need spiritual care.If targeted intervention services can be carried out for them,it will help them better integrate into society,reduce social instability factors,and promote the harmonious development of society.In this paper,semi-structured interview method and scale measurement method were used to investigate the depression mood of the elderly who had lost their only child.Guided by ABC theory,social support theory and advantage perspective theory,a series of group activities were carried out in combination with the psychological characteristics and realistic needs of the elderly who had lost their only child.In order to ensure that the design of the group activity meets the needs of the elderly who lost their only child,a needs analysis is conducted in advance.The main analysis involves three aspects: spiritual consolation,social support and self-worth realization.Then according to the content of demand analysis,combined with the characteristics of group work,design corresponding group activities and carry out group social work intervention.In the course of intervention,activities were adjusted according to the ability and response of the elderly.At the end of the group activities,according to the intervention effect and the findings of the previous investigation,relevant countermeasures and suggestions can effectively help the elderly who lost their only child.This study the use of innovative team of professional social work method to alleviate loss alone old man depressed mood,in the team,lost between the old man alone can draw on experience of similar cause emotional resonance,enhance the communication between each other,understanding and support,and to form a more solid and sustainable social support,this is the advantage of group social work.Of course,there are also some shortcomings in the group service process.For example,this study did not involve the material needs of the elderly who lost their only child and other relevant needs.In future studies,the elderly who lost their only child should try to expand the scope of their needs,so as to better provide more personalized and adaptable social services for the service objects.
