With the successful hosting of the 24 th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in2022,ice and snow sports are increasingly flourishing in China.As early as the beginning of China’s bid for the Olympics,it promised to the world that through the opportunity of bidding for the Winter Olympics,it would focus on developing mass ice and snow sports and realize the magnificent vision of 300 million people participating in ice and snow sports.Making up for the weak link of winter sports and improving the popularization and development of ice and snow sports play a pivotal role in enhancing the strength of my country’s sports power and improving my country’s status in the world.The two-way relationship between mass media and sports makes it important to study the effect of newspapers on the dissemination of ice and snow sports.The propaganda function of the media is like a powerful catalyst,which is conducive to stimulating the enthusiasm of the masses."China Sports News" is the only professional sports daily in the country.It reports authoritatively and has a wide audience.It is more detailed and objective in the news reports on ice and snow sports,so it has strong research significance.This research takes the "ice and snow sports" from the perspective of communication as the topic entry point,adopts the research methods such as the literature method and content analysis method,and based on the theoretical foundations such as agenda setting and news editing practice.Selects all relevant ice and snow sports news reports in "China Sports News" from 2015 to 2021 as The sample mainly analyzes and studies from four aspects: report length and content,report genre,layout design,pictures and front-page headline reports,summarizes the laws of its ice and snow sports news reports,looks forward to the future and optimizes development prospects,and assist in optimizing the organizational structure of ice and snow sports reports and improve the level of news reporting.The research found that: First,the scale of ice and snow sports reports in China Sports Daily has been increasing year by year,and the report forms are rich and diverse.Second,the "China Sports News" report on ice and snow sports adheres to the principle of party spirit and guides the correct direction of public opinion.Third,the "China Sports News" report on ice and snow sports focuses on spreading ice and snow culture and demonstrating national cultural confidence.Fourth,the "China Sports News" report on ice and snow sports embodies the humanistic spirit and highlights the respect and care for human nature.However,there are problems such as relatively simple layout design and serious reporting style;one-sided reporting topics and lack of in-depth reporting;large shortage of news talents,and insufficient professional knowledge of ice and snow for editors and editors.To sum up,this study puts forward the following suggestions for the ice and snow sports news reports of "China Sports News" : First,optimize the layout and enhance the flexibility of the overall style of the report.Second,give full play to your own advantages and dig deeper into the story behind it.Third,speed up the training of talents and focus on the news talents of compound ice and snow projects.Fourth,stay close to hotspots and strengthen the agenda setting function of ice and snow sports reports.
