Contextual teaching method is a teaching method that guides students to participate in the classroom,actively investigate and learn,and promote the transformation of knowledge through the creation of various teaching situations.Contextual teaching method is well suited to the new curriculum reform objectives of secondary schools and can cultivate the high-quality skilled talents needed by society.Contextual teaching method is widely used in the field of education and favored by many teachers.This thesis tries to apply contextual teaching method to secondary classroom teaching,aiming to provide valuable practical experience for secondary teaching.This paper is divided into seven parts: the first part is a review of domestic and international research through extensive literature study.The second part takes constructivist learning theory,contextual cognition and learning theory and humanistic learning theory as its theoretical basis based on the definition of relevant concepts.The third part uses questionnaire method and interview method to study the teaching status of the course "Marketing Fundamentals and Practices" in a secondary school.The fourth part analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the application of contextual teaching method in the teaching of this course,and carries out the teaching design from four aspects: teaching analysis,principles of implementation of contextual teaching method,types of implementation of contextual teaching method,and implementation process of contextual teaching method.The fifth part takes marketing students in a secondary school as the research object and carries out the teaching practice of contextual teaching method in the course.The four teaching steps of introducing a new lesson and creating a context,integrating the context and understanding knowledge,using the context,cooperative inquiry and extending the context and value orientation were designed and supported by the lesson examples as practice.The effectiveness of the contextual approach in the classroom is verified through a student questionnaire after the lesson.The sixth part summarizes the problems and causes of the contextual teaching method throughout the teaching process,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the existing problems.The seventh part draws the conclusion of the study and provides the research outlook.Throughout the study it can be seen that: first,the context can fully mobilize students’ curiosity of learning and cultivate their subjective consciousness.It intuitively attracts students’ classroom attention and stimulates their desire to learn knowledge.Secondly,by bringing emotions with the context,it can induce good emotional experiences for students.It creates an excellent classroom atmosphere and triggers emotional resonance.Third,contextual teaching method helps students improve their comprehensive ability.Using the context as a carrier,students explore and sort out their knowledge,constantly mobilize their own abilities to think proactively,and improve through feedback.
