| Academic reading is an important means for master’s students to expand their professional foundation,accumulate academic knowledge,and track the frontiers of disciplines,and it is also an important way to learn research methods and improve their writing ability.The important task of academic reading of master’s students is to carry out academic research,and academic articles are an effective carrier of knowledge flow and sharing,and a large number of master’s students reading academic articles is an indispensable process for mastering research dynamics and academic frontiers.The level of academic reading investment is not only a prerequisite for improving the scientific research performance and ability of master’s students,but also a process indicator to measure the quality of postgraduate education,so it has certain academic value for the research of academic reading investment.In order to grasp the current situation of master’s degree students’ academic reading investment and the main factors affecting reading investment,and improve the level of academic reading investment of master’s students,the author investigates the academic reading investment of master’s students.This research system sorts out the relevant literature at home and abroad,defines the core concepts of academic reading and academic reading input,takes deep learning theory and learning input theory as the theoretical basis for research,constructs the academic reading input index for postgraduates,and compiles questionnaires based on relevant research on academic reading input at home and abroad,and revises the questionnaire according to the test results and expert suggestions.Taking the master’s students of 2 universities at different levels as the research object,the paper used the classification survey method and the random sampling method,selected 650 master’s students for questionnaire survey,and used SPSS25.0and EXCEL software to analyze the verifiable factors of 595 valid questionnaires,and the questionnaire reliability validity was good.At the same time,the author randomly invited 14master’s students from different colleges,grades and disciplines to conduct in-depth interviews,and used four methods of descriptive analysis,variance analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis to analyze the current situation of master’s academic reading investment and test the key influencing factors of academic reading investment.The empirical results show that the overall academic reading investment of master’s students is high,but there is a certain deviation between cognitive,emotional and behavioral investment.Master’s students have a positive view on the importance of academic reading,there is a positive emotional experience in the reading process,while the actual reading investment time is not sufficient,the number of reading academic literature is low,and the frequency of reading interaction with tutors and peers is not high;the academic reading input of master’s students with different research purposes and graduation intentions is significantly different,and the academic reading investment level of master’s students who love academic research and choose to continue to pursue doctoral degrees is significantly higher than that of employment-driven master’s students.The academic reading investment of master’s degree students at different levels of colleges and universities is significantly different,and the number of academic reading literature and reading funds of master’s degree students in central universities are higher than those of provincial key universities.The academic reading investment of master’s students is affected by multiple factors,and the support and guidance of tutors is the key to improving the academic reading investment of master’s students;the academic atmosphere of universities and the emotional support of peers have a significant impact on the academic reading investment of master’s students.In view of the deviation of cognition,emotion and behavioral input of master’s students,the key role of the support and guidance of master’s supervisors,and the basic role of academic atmosphere and peer emotional support of universities,this study puts forward appropriate suggestions from the master’s students themselves,master’s supervisors,and schools: master’s students should form a reasonable academic reading cognition,maintain the consistency of cognitive investment,emotional investment and behavioral investment,and improve the quality of their own academic reading investment;supervisors should enhance their sense of responsibility.Give targeted reading support and guidance to master’s students,and establish a good interactive relationship between guidance and learning;schools should provide comprehensive and high-quality reading resources,increase the opportunities for master’s students to interact with academic reading,create a strong academic atmosphere,and enable master’s students to rely on the school platform to improve their academic reading investment level. |
