Presently,China’s new urbanization has entered a new urbanization construction stage with people as the core.As an accompanying problem of new urbanization,the education of children of new citizens has been paid more and more attention by all sectors of society.With the implementation of the "two priorities" and "two inclusion" policies,the problem of difficult enrollment of new citizens’ children has been solved.Then,in the school field,what is the educational integration of the children of new citizens? What problems do they have in the process of educational integration? What measures should we take to help new citizens’ children better integrate into education?Based on the previous research on educational integration,with the research methods of questionnaire,interview and participation observation t,this study taking D primary school in Erqi District of Zhengzhou as a case,investigates the current situation of educational integration of children of new citizens,discusses the existing problems and reasons of educational integration and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.It found that by optimizing the school supply,building a scholarly campus,cultivating civilized etiquette and carrying out colorful campus activities,it has effectively promoted the educational integration of new citizens’ children.However,there are also some problems in the educational integration of children of new citizens,such as insufficient and unbalanced industrial integration,lack of effective interaction between teachers and students,reduction of communication opportunities due to changes of living space and confusion of identity and role positioning in urban and rural areas.It is mainly caused by the imbalance of urban and rural educational resources,limited community services,limited family education level,insufficient attention of schools and teachers to integration,and students’ passive attitude.In order to better promote the educational integration of new citizens’ children,we should improve the implementation mechanism of educational policy to promote it more effectively;Increase financial investment to ensure the integration of education funds;Strengthen the construction of urban inclusiveness and improve the sense of belonging of children of new citizens;Promote the integration of school education to optimize the educational field;Improve teachers’ professional quality and strengthen educational professional development;Cultivate the cultural literacy of new citizens’ families and help the integration of new citizens’ children’s education;Stimulate the self-awareness of new citizens’ children and strengthen self-regulation.It is hoped that this can promote the effective educational integration of new citizens’ children and promote the high-quality development of new urbanization.
