In this thesis,from the perspective of communication,questionnaires,statistical analysis and interviews were used to study the elderly’s exposure behavior to new media health information and its influencing factors.In this thesis,the UTAUT model is applied and based on the actual situation of this paper,new variables(perceived entertainment,trust,risk perception,health anxiety,loneliness and self-aging perception)are added to the four variables of performance expectation,pay expectation,social impact and facilitation condition to rebuild the model.This thesis have found that there are partial differences between older adults who are exposed to new media health information and those who are not,the former had more positive overall evaluation and perception of new media health information,that is,the former has higher performance expectation,paying expectation,social impact,promotion condition,perceived entertainment and trust of new media health information.The risk perception of new media health information in the former group was lower.In addition,older adults exposed to new media health information reported less loneliness and more positive self-perception of aging.The overall level of health anxiety in the samples studied in this thesis is low and there is no significant difference.Through weight analysis,this thesis found that the order of influencing factors that had significant influence on contact intention was: social influence > performance expectation > perceived entertainment > expectation of giving.Epidemic public health events will promote the deepening of contact between the elderly who have been exposed to new media health information,but will not have a significant role in promoting the elderly who are not exposed to new media health information.In addition,the study found that the elderly’s exposure to new media health information has the functions of enhancing the connection with society,promoting positive self-aging perception,meeting the needs of love and belonging,reducing loneliness,helping to promote the reemployment of the elderly and strengthening the health management of the elderly population.Among the findings,this thesis divides the motivation of elderly people to contact new media health information into two categories--subjective factors and objective factors.Based on these two motivations,two suggestions are put forward: 1.To provide more perfect external conditions.Reduce the purchase and learning costs of smart phones,promote aging apps,appropriately weaken the social function of strangers in the medium,and build a new media health platform with high trust;2.Stimulate endogenous motivation in the elderly.Create a sense of happiness,and try to resolve the elderly’s extreme rejection of new media.To mark the psychological needs of the elderly,design diversified training services. |
