With the development of community psychology,school sense of community,as a special form of community sense,has received more and more attention in recent years.Previous studies have shown that the school sense of community can affect students’ school performance,and students with high school sense of community have more positive emotional experience in school.Fear of negative evaluation is a prominent and common problem faced by high school students.Senior high school students are faced with various evaluations related to interpersonal relationship and performance level in school.If they cannot correctly recognize and deal with negative evaluation,it will lead to a lot of maladaptive behaviors of students and affect their healthy development.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the impact of senior high school students’ school sense of community on fear of negative evaluation.Perceived social support is an individual’s overall perception of the availability and satisfaction of the support provided by others.It belongs to the subjective social support that an individual can experience.Core self-evaluation refers to the subjective evaluation and basic judgment of an individual’s own ability and value.This study introduced two variables of perceived social support and core self-evaluation as the mediating variables of senior high school students’ school sense of community and fear of negative evaluation,explored the mechanism of senior high school students’ school sense of community on fear of negative evaluation,and provided corresponding mental health education suggestions according to the research results.In this study,556 questionnaires were distributed offline to high school students and 506 valid questionnaires were collected by questionnaire survey,including “Classroom and School Community Inventory CSCI”,“Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale BFNES”,“Perceived Social Support Scale PSSS”and “Core Self-Evaluations Scale CSES”.Using methods of SPSS25.0 and Amos 21.0 to test reliability and validity of the questionnaire,independent samples t test,single factor analysis of variance,regression analysis and the mediation effect analysis to understand the senior high school students’ school sense of community,fear of negative evaluation,perceived social support and core self-evaluation.This study examines the effects of senior high school students’ school sense of community on fear of negative evaluation and examines the mediating effects of perceived social support and core self-evaluation respectively and the chain mediating effects.The conclusions are as follows: the scores of senior high school students’ school sense of community,perceived social support and core self-evaluation are above the medium level,and the scores of negative evaluation fear are also at the medium level,which is generally well reflected;The level of core self-evaluation of boys was significantly higher than that of girls;The level of school sense of community,perceived social support and core self-evaluation of senior three students is significantly higher than that of senior one and senior two students,and the level of school sense of community and core self-evaluation of senior one students is the lowest;The level of fear of negative evaluation of students who are student cadres is significantly higher than that of students who are not student cadres;Senior high school students’ school sense of community has a negative predictive effect on the fear of negative evaluation;Perceived social support plays a partial mediating role between senior high school students’ school sense of community and fear of negative evaluation;Core self-evaluation plays a complete mediating role between senior high school students’ school sense of community and fear of negative evaluation;Perceived social support and core self-evaluation play a chain intermediary role between senior high school students’ school sense of community and fear of negative evaluation;Senior high school students’ school sense of community can improve the core self-evaluation level by enhancing the level of perceived social support,so as to inhibit the fear of negative evaluation.Based on the above research results,in order to reduce the high school students’ fear of negative evaluation,this study puts forward the following suggestions on mental health education:(1)School educators should understand the significance of school community sense to students’ development and start from the two aspects of classroom community and school community to cultivate high school students’ school sense of community.(2)From the aspects of family,school and society,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve students’ perceived social support level.(3)Senior high school students need to have a comprehensive understanding of themselves,develop self-confidence,improve their core self-evaluation level,and correctly treat negative evaluation from the outside.
