The Relationship Between Parental Psychological Control And Employment Anxiety Of College Students ——The Role Of Intolerable Uncertainty And Sense Of Security

Studies in recent years have shown that employment anxiety is rising among college students year by year.The reasons for the increasing employment anxiety vary,including the influence of the social environment,family environment,and individual psychology.Therefore,in order to explore the basic characteristics of college students’ employment anxiety,the influence of parental psychological control on employment anxiety,and the mechanism of the role of intolerable uncertainty and sense of security in employment anxiety,the Parental Psychological Control Scale,the Intolerable Uncertainty Scale,Security Questionnaire,and the Employment Anxiety Diagnostic Questionnaire for College Graduates were used to survey a total of 541 senior students from two universities in An Yang and Xin Yang,respectively.The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and the macro program PROCESS.The following conclusions were drawn from the study:（1）Parental psychological control has a positive predictive effect on college students’ employment anxiety,and the higher the parental psychological control,the higher the college students’ employment anxiety.（2）Parental psychological control can positively predict intolerable uncertainty;intolerable uncertainty can positively predict employment anxiety.Unbearable uncertainty plays a mediating role between parental psychological control and employment anxiety.（3）Security can play a moderating role between parental psychological control and intolerable uncertainty.Under the moderating effect of a low level of security,parental psychological control can positively predict the intolerable uncertainty of college students;under the moderating effect of a high level of security,parental psychological control positively predict intolerable uncertainty.
