The special physical fitness of football events represents the sum of the basic physical ability of the players,and the special physical fitness evaluation is a comprehensive evaluation system that reflects the basic physical ability level of the players.The competition of men’s high-level competition in colleges and universities in my country is increasingly fierce,and the level is improving year by year.The quality of daily training is more scientific,and it is closer to the concept and requirements of competitive football.Research on the special physical fitness of high-level men’s football players in colleges and universities will help improve athletes.The special physical fitness level provides a reference for the physical training of the men’s high-level football team in colleges and universities.This study compares functional strength training and traditional strength training to explore the effect on the football-specific physical fitness of high-level male football players in colleges and universities.The study selected 24 players of the men’s football school of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education as the experimental subjects.Most of the players tested were from domestic professional clubs and strong campus football schools,and they all had long football training years.24 players were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group was given functional strength training(n=12),while the control group was given traditional strength training(n=12).The two groups performed twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.Training,each training 90 min,a total of 8 weeks.After the experiment,the two groups of subjects were tested and analyzed for the special physical fitness indicators of football.The results show that functional strength training can significantly improve players’ specific flexibility,agility and upper body strength.Traditional strength training can significantly improve upper body strength,and the effect is more significant than functional strength training.Concluded as follow:(1)After eight weeks of intervention training,functional training can have a significant impact on the upper limb strength quality among the flexibility quality,agility quality and strength quality,and has a better effect.(2)Traditional physical training only had a significant impact on upper limb strength,and the effect was better than functional training.(3)There are significant differences between functional training and traditional physical training in terms of flexibility,sensitivity,and upper body strength,but there is no significant difference in other specific physical fitness indicators,which shows that functional training and traditional training are improving.Some special physical fitness of players is feasible.(4)Functional training and traditional physical training have little effect on the explosive power,special speed and endurance of lower limbs,and they need to be improved through special training.(5)Generally speaking,the combination of functional training and traditional training is feasible.Functional training and traditional physical training can improve and improve the level of some football-specific physical fitness,and both have their own advantages and should be combined with each other..
