| With the development of the economy and society, women’s social status continues to improve, and women enter the workplace and take on more family responsibilities increasingly, instead of being only affected by the traditional Confucian culture and staying at the stage of taking care of the family and helping each other. With the globalization of the economy, many women in our country have gradually become the backbone of enterprises and the executives of international enterprises by virtue of their own efforts in the workplace. In recent years, the proportion of women in the executive team has been on the rise.Female executives have played a vital role in the management and development of international companies. Therefore, many scholars at home and abroad have begun to study the impact of female executives on corporate performance. However,so far, there is no uniform conclusion in the academic circles as to whether the proportion of women in the senior management team has a positive effect on international companies. On this basis, this article takes the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares and overseas revenues from 2009 to 2019 as a sample of companies which overseas revenues accounted for more than 10% of revenues to study the relationship between the proportion of women in the senior management team and the innovation performance of international companies, adding adjustment variables. The three adjustment variables of capital, ability, and experience are used to study whether these variables have a moderating relationship between female participation in the senior management team and the innovation performance of international enterprises.Firstly, this article summarizes the relationship between female executives, entrepreneurial human capital and the innovation performance of international enterprises from six theories, the theory of high-level echelon, the theory of principal-agent,the theory of human capital, the theory of female leadership style, the theory of resource dependence and the theory of innovation.Secondly, basing previous studies, the article put forward the research hypothesis on the influence of the proportion of female executives in the senior management team on the innovation performance of international enterprises in my country, and further put forward the research hypothesis of the moderating effect of entrepreneurial human capital on the innovation performance of female executives and international enterprises. Finally, the regression analysis method is used to verify, and analyze the heterogeneity by industry, scale, and degree of internationalization. Finally,it is concluded that :(1)the proportion of women in the senior management team has a positive effect on the innovation performance of the company;(2)the intellectual capital and competence relationship of entrepreneurs’ human capital positively regulates the proportion of women in the senior management team and the innovation of international enterprises;(3)The empirical relationship of entrepreneurial human capital has no moderating effect on the proportion of women in the senior management team and the relationship between corporate innovation performance;(4)In manufacturing,large-scale companies, and companies with low levels of internationalization, the proportion of female in senior management teams has a more significant positive impact on the innovation performance of international companies. The research in this article not only expands the relevant theories about the proportion of women in the senior management team and the innovation performance of international companies in my country, but also has important practical value for the selection of senior management by international companies. On the one hand, companies can appropriately increase the proportion of women in the senior management team to optimize the configuration of the company’s senior management team.On the other hand, female executives can participate in training or continuing education courses during their tenure to increase their own knowledge capital and enable themselves to play the unique role of female executives. |
