| Teacher’s education concept is an important part of its professional development,which is a research perspective and an important research field in teachers’ professional development.However,conflict of teacher’s educational concepts is widespread and inevitable,especially today when cultural diversity and preschool education are placed in the important development position.Conflict of preschool teacher’s education concept has a special significance.In addition,the conflict of educational concepts itself has dual attributes.Whether it is positive or negative for teachers’ professional development depends on the teacher’s coping style to the conflict.The current research on the conflict of educational concepts focus on the important components of teachers’ educational concepts such as educational values,views on children,teaching concept etc.,as well as the current situation of educational concept conflict between parents and teachers,and proposes improvement strategies for the current situation.There is no specific discussion on the coping style to the conflict.The conflict of preschool teacher’s educational concepts and their coping styles are not yet clear.Therefore,it is necessary to do a research on it.In this study,a qualitative research paradigm was adopted,and 18 kindergarten teachers with a teaching experience of 1 year,2-4 years,5 years and above were selected as the research objects in Chongqing,and data were collected through in-depth interviews.Based on the principles of grounded theory,the data are sorted and analyzed,and the forms of conflicts in educational concepts of preschool teachers,the basic types of coping styles,coping effects,and the conflicts of educational concepts and conflicts in excellent and general preschool teachers and urban and rural preschool teachers Comparison characteristics.This study mainly draws the following conclusions:First,there are two types of conflicts in preschool teachers’ educational concepts:internal conflicts and external conflicts.The conflicts are mainly reflected in five aspects: child management,child growth,child learning and ability development,teachers and parents role recognition,and teaching.Among them,the internal conflicts in the management of children are more prominent,with the characteristics of synchronicity and diachronicity.The external conflict in children’s learning and ability development is the most prominent.In addition,external conflicts exist between parents,colleagues,kindergarten directors and experts,and with the most education concept conflicts with parents,the least with experts.Second,the basic types of conflict coping of preschool teachers’ educational concepts are divided into five types: insisting or adjusting preschool teachers themselves,both sides adjusting,inaction,behavioral compromise,and influencing the other’ s concept.Among them,the coping type that influencing the other’ s concept accounts for the largest proportion.The conflict coping effects are divided into three types: effective,general and ineffective.Among them,effective coping methods account for more,and conflicts are mainly resolved from the cognitive perspective.The ineffective methods are used to cope with internal concept conflicts,as well as the external concept conflict with the principal and parents.Third,the commonality and difference coexist in the excellent and general preschool teachers’ education concept conflict and their coping.In terms of commonality,excellent and general preschool teachers external education concept conflicts involved in the same areas.Both types of teachers adopted the coping styles of influencing other’ s concepts and insisting on or adjust themselves.And the effective coping accounted for the biggest proportion in the overall coping.The difference lies in that compared with general preschool teachers,the excellent ones have fewer educational concept conflicts,higher conflict coping level and better coping effect.Fourth,the commonality and difference coexist in preschool teachers’ education concept conflicts between urban and rural areas.The commonality is mainly reflected in the same types of conflicts in the education concepts of urban and rural preschool teachers,and the same areas the external conflicts involved.The type of conflict coping is the same.The difference lies in that compared with the preschool teachers in rural areas,the preschool teachers in urban areas have more prominent internal education concept conflicts,more forms of conflicts in external education concepts,more ways of coping with conflicts and better coping effects. |
