Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of information technology,the reading style and cognitive pattern of contemporary youth have changed dramatically.Embracing new technology actively and using technology to empower teaching has become a new proposition given to teachers by the era.Using audio-books to assist high school history teaching is a positive attempt of educational informatization.This paper focuses on the application of “audio-books” in secondary school history teaching,with a view to enhancing the richness and interest of high school history teaching,increasing students’ learning efficiency,providing practical assistance in the development of subject core literacy,and providing inspiration for the development and application of related reading materials in the future.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the significance of the research,the research methodology and the literature review of the research area.The second part sorts out the definition of the concept of audio-books and their development history.The third part describes the theoretical basis for the application of audio-books in high school history teaching.The fourth part presents a survey of the current situation of the use of audio-books in high school history teaching by taking a Shanghai high school as an example.The fifth part presents two examples of teaching practice with different objectives: “teacher-led preview before class ” and “ student-led after-school review ”,introduces the design and implementation of audio-books assisted teaching,and reflects on the effectiveness of the application.In the end,concludes with a summary of the whole paper,pointing out the limitations of this study and offering an outlook on future research directions.
