| With the increasing trend of "family-oriented" migration of migrant workers and the continuous improvement of off-site education policies, the number of children of migrant workers has increased.Facing the new campus environment, they need to adapt to the teaching mode and methods and develop new learning strategies. Most migrant children are prone to learning adjustment problems when they enter new schools due to their weak learning foundation and lack of family counseling. This problem will not only have a negative impact on their academic life, but also affect their physical and mental health. Therefore,it is important to use the professional theories and skills in social work to help the children of migrant workers to improve their learning adaptability. This study took the children of migrant workers in Grade 5 and 6 of a primary school A in City C as the research object.Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, this paper found out the differences between the learning adaptability of migrant children and urban residents’ children;with the guidance of ecosystem theory, social learning theory and cognitive behavior theory, nine group activities were carried out from the perspective of learning attitude, learning technology, learning environment and physical and mental health of group members. In this study,200 fifth-and sixth-grade elementary school students were selected from Primary School A in City C.The Adaptation to Learning Test(AAT)was used to measure the differences in learning adaptability between children of migrant workers and children of urban residents through "experimental group-control group".The study found that group work interventions in the learning adjustment of children migrating to cities have significant effects on changing their learning attitudes, enhancing their learning skills, improving their learning environment, and promoting their physical and mental health. However, the improvement of children’s learning adaptability is confronted with many multifaceted and multi-subject difficulties, which need the joint efforts of children themselves, families, schools and society. |
