Research On The Application Of We-media In Parent Education Of Early Childhood Family

With the rapid development of digital technology in China,We Media has become an important channel for modern parents to acquire the knowledge and skills to raise and educate their children.The flourish of We Media parenting channels has profoundly influence the contemporary parenting education.Based on the Communication Studies of We Media,this research looks at the current development of We Media parenting channels,the advantages and disadvantages of We Media education contents and their impact on young family’s parent-children education.My research objects are the parents of two kindergartens.I use the literature analysis,questionnaire and interview to study the trend of We Media application in contemporary parenting education.Finally,I discuss the strategies which can fully utilize the potentials of We Media in modern parenting,and provide effective solutions to those problems existing in the application of We Media in children education.First of all,We Media have attracted the attention of a large number of audiences,and many parenting videos or information have been widely spread on these platforms.The scope of We Media in my research are the We Chat public parent platform,child-rearing Weibo,and child-rearing live broadcast and video platforms from the media,from the perspective of functions,content,audience needs,and communication characteristics.Secondly,Through questionnaires,surveys and interviews,my research found out that We Media has become the main source of child-rearing information for parents.child-rearing information disseminated from the media is of great help to family child-rearing.The content of parental education disseminated from the media has a greater impact on parenting behaviors and parenting psychology.At the same time,wrong parenting concepts and knowledge disseminated from the media will also negatively affect parents.Third,The research also found out that the current application of We Media in parenting education has many advantages to a large audience in China,the convenient parenting skills,holistic ways of parenting guidance with low cost.The level of We Media disseminators is uneven.There are some disadvantages of We Media parenting,including low quality presentation,unqualified parenting skills or methods,less online interaction,and inaccessible parenting guidance.Finally,my research suggests that there should be supervision of the We Media platforms so that the high quality of online parenting channels can be maintained.These include the discrease the fake parenting information,commercial advertisements and homogenized content on online parenting channels,whilst encouraging those high-quality channels with positive and scientific parenting concepts and knowledge.Also,the We Media platform should strengthen the management of We Media parenting communicators and acknowledge only those with certified early childcare educators.The online interaction on We Media parenting should be encouraged.If it is possible,it would be beneficial to help educate the online media literacy of parent groups.
