Socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era.This special period is not only the golden period for the development of China’s social economy,politics and culture,but also the peak period for the convergence of various social contradictions.Emergent public events caused by various contradictions are affecting the study and life of undergraduate students from different parts.General Secretary Xi Jinping once pointed out: "We should help students to exercise their strong will and character,cultivate the enterprising spirit of striving to be the first,train their psychological quality of not being afraid of failure,maintain an optimistic attitude towards life,and face all kinds of difficulties and setbacks." College students under the background of public emergencies are extremely vulnerable to the impact of public emergencies due to their immature psychology and thoughts.If they are not guided and educated in time,adverse consequences will be brought to school management and social stability.This paper will start with the relevant theoretical knowledge of public emergencies and comprehensively use the relevant theoretical basis of multi-disciplines to deeply study the relationship between public emergencies and ideological and political education of undergraduate students.For the theoretical parts,the actual questionnaire investigation,to find out the problems of undergraduate students under the public emergencies,and finally on the basis of theoretical research and current situation analysis,the effective path of undergraduate students under public emergencies.This paper consists of five parts:The first part: Introduction.The introduction part is a rough epitome of the whole article.The research background,research purpose and the domestic and foreign research trends involved in this topic are analyzed and sorted out,and the difficulties,innovations and research methods of the topic are given.Finally,a concise explanation of the main content of this topic is also given.The second part: First of all,from the theory of public emergency,the concept and classification of public emergency,characteristics and causes of the corresponding elaboration.Secondly,from the relevant theories of ideological and political education of undergraduate students,tell us the concept and status,the purpose and task to make a corresponding overview.Finally,the theoretical basis of ideological and political education for college students under the background of public emergencies is analyzed,which mainly includes the following aspects.Firstly,relationship between public emergencies and ideological and political education for undergraduate students.Secondly,it analyzes the concept and function of ideological and political education theory.Finally,it analyzes the definitions and methods of psychological theory and crisis management theory.It provides a theoretical basis for the research of this subject by integrating the knowledge of multiple disciplines.The third part: the interaction between public emergencies and college students’ ideological and political education.First,the ideological and political education of undergraduate students is important in solving public emergencies,which is mainly reflected in the following aspects: it is conducive to maintaining the stability of society and colleges;It is helpful to guide students to set up correct thoughts and behaviors.It is beneficial to provide students with strong spiritual support and psychological security;Has a strong social mobilization ability.Secondly,public emergencies have an important reaction to the development of college students’ ideological and political education,which is mainly reflected in the following aspects: providing rich materials for undergraduate students’ ideological and political education;It is beneficial to enhance the effect of ideological and political education for college students.The fourth part: Analysis of the current situation.This part analyzes the current situation under the background of public emergencies by means of questionnaires,and finds out the existing problems and reasons from the school and society levels.First of all,at the school level,the ideological and political education of college students under the background of public emergencies focuses on after-the-fact education rather than pre-precaution,education content is lacking,education methods are not appropriate,and education platform is single.Secondly,at the social level,it is mainly manifested as the government’s lack of attention to the role of ideological and political education in the context of public emergencies,insufficient publicity by mass media on the importance of ideological and political education,and imperfect laws and regulations for public emergencies.The fifth part: Analysis of the effective path of ideological and political education for college students under the background of public emergencies.Based on the theoretical and practical analysis of the previous four chapters,this part obtains the principles that the ideological and political education of college students should follow under the background of public emergencies,including the principle of prevention priority,the principle of people-oriented,the principle of difference at different levels,the principle of seeking truth from facts,the principle of scientific nature and the principle of incentive.At the same time,for college students,this part also puts forward the feasible path of ideological and political education for college students under the background of public emergencies from the two aspects of school and society,and gives a detailed explanation.
