The 2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Games will be held in February 2022,the first time in Chinese history to hold the Winter Olympic Games, making China the first country to realize the Olympic “full Slam” of the Olympic Games.China is an ancient civilization with a history of more than five thousand years. The traditional culture has a long history and is the birthplace of many traditional sports.Ice and snow sports are no exception.According to historical records, the traditional ice sports originated from the northern nationalities of our country, created in the natural ecological environment, continuously developed and changed by the influence of the social environment, experienced the process of rising, brilliant and desolate, and now rose again under the upsurge of winter and Olympic Games. Therefore, excavating and popularizing the traditional ice sports is not only the need to meet the winter Olympic Games, but also the path to modernize, internationalize and highlight the characteristics of our country. The reappearance of traditional ice sports makes how to adapt and develop in the present society become a topic of concern. The core concept of cultural ecology,“cultural ecosystem”,can systematically, holistically and comprehensively analyze the development and adaptation of the research object. Therefore, using the five levels of cultural ecosystem to analyze the traditional ice sports not only makes people fully realize the development and adaptation in modern society, but also realizes the predicament of current development, that is,“imbalance problem”.Therefore,it is of great significance to protect the cultural consciousness of traditional ice movement. This study adopts the methods of literature, historical analysis, field investigation and interview, and takes the traditional ice sports as the research object.Firstly,it expounds the traditional ice sports and cultural ecosystem, and analyzes the advantages of introducing cultural ecological theory.Secondly,it discusses the five levels of traditional ice sports cultural ecosystem, analyzes its cultural adaptation, mainly for balance and imbalance, and puts forward the corresponding dynamic balance path for the imbalance of cultural ecosystem,in order to provide suggestions for the modernization development of traditional ice sports. The results show that:First, the traditional ice sports’ environment is created in the natural ecological environment, protected by the social and political system, and retained to date for following the social customs.Second, the traditional ice sports has its own cultural ecosystem, and its development and adaptation are influenced by the natural environment, science and technology, economic system, social organization and values.Third, through the analysis of the traditional ice sports culture ecosystem,it is found that it has the characteristics of region, times, nationality and vitality.Fourth, the traditional ice sports in the process of development is mainly manifested in the balance and imbalance of the cultural ecosystem. It is found that the main causes of the imbalance include five aspects:the change of the ecological environment, the lack of special policy system protection, the geographical restriction of the scope of the project, the lack of cultural consciousness of the people, and the lack of a pluralistic coordination mechanism.Fifth, put forward the dynamic balance path of traditional ice sports:optimize the cultural ecological environment of traditional ice sports;give play to the ecological leverage of government organization and management;strengthen the cultural propaganda and education of traditional ice sports;create traditional ice and snow brand to enhance cultural adaptability;establish scientific traditional ice and snow protection and inheritance mechanism.
