With the development of social economy,the importance of education is becoming more and more important.As the main body of education,teachers are also valued by the society.Teachers’ social status,authority,image and other non-educational factors affect the social evaluation of teachers,and then affect teachers’ professional identification and love.For Preschool Teachers,their work is aimed at the younger children,the life of the educational content,the game of the educational method,the non-disciplinary teaching and the hard-to-quantify progress of the preschool children,it is far from the day when the preschool children become useful.Jobs have long been equated with babysitting and aunts,and are less well known to society than teachers at other educational levels.It is more difficult for the average person who does not know the work of a preschool teacher to perceive the profession from the direct effectiveness of teaching,their work achievements are also more likely to be overlooked.A child is related to a family.Children are not only the future of the family,but also the future of the country and the nation.The attention to preschool education also extends to preschool teachers.Information Technology has had a far-reaching impact on all aspects of social life.Mass media,as an important source of information for the audience,directly and indirectly affects people’s cognition and behavior,the majority of those who do not have direct access to and in-depth knowledge of preschool teachers have an impression of this group largely from news reports in the mass media.This study attempts to analyze and explore the answer to the question of what kind of image of preschool teacher is presented by mass media,how news reports shape the image of preschool teacher,and whether they reflect the real image of preschool teacher.The main contents of this study include four parts:The first part is the analysis of the news report of preschool teachers in the mass media.Based on the analysis of the news reports on preschool teachers from 2011 to2020 in the network media represented by www.China News.com,by using the method of Content analysis and Discourse Analysis,this paper discusses the quantity of news and its annual changing trend,the changing trend of reporting subject,the emotional tendency of reporting and its changing trend,and the way of discourse construction.The second part is an overview of the image of kindergarten teachers in the mass media.Through the classification and integration of the images of preschool teachers in news reports,this paper sums up the typical image of preschool teachers from two aspects of professional image and Social Image: The knowledge image of preschool teachers is the most positive,followed by the professional ability image;There’s a big problem.In the social image of preschool teachers,there are more negative reports on the protection of their rights and interests,and the gender issue is more prominent in the social prestige.At the same time,according to the time-line,the author summarizes the significant changes of the image of preschool teachers in the mass media in the past ten years The professional competence of Preschool Teachers presented in news reports has become increasingly rich,and the professional connotation has also broken through the stereotype of caring for young children,reflecting the educational nature of the profession;as the overall image of preschool teachers has improved,in the Media News report,the supervised preschool teachers are gradually becoming more and more important.The third part is the image deviation of preschool teachers in the mass media.Based on the content analysis and discourse analysis,the paper explores the reasons from the typical image and image change.Although all the reports in the news media are true events,due to the preference of news gathering and editing for the choice of content,the bias of ideas in news reports,and the social bias reflected in news themes,caused the present image and the reality image deviation.The fourth part is based on the objective position of the ideal image-building.The images in the mass media are not objective and biased.To remold the image of preschool teachers,we should stick to the correct value standpoint,follow the basic news ethics,update the educational concept behind the news,and reposition the role of preschool teachers,on the basis of objective report,enrich the aesthetic implication of the image of preschool teachers.Better help the public objective understanding of kindergarten teachers,access to correct evaluation.The innovation of this research: 1.Take the network news as the research object,has the time nature;2.The research sample covers a long period of time,the proposed changes in the image of kindergarten teachers are novel;3.The study not only concerns the image construction and the existing problems from the angle of journalism and communication,but also goes deep into the educational influence behind the image of preschool teachers from the angle of preschool education.The shortcomings of this study: affected by time,energy and other objective factors,the sample size is not large enough,only reflects the status of a mainstream news site,the study of the lack of representation and scope of application;Due to the limitation of the researcher’s knowledge and ability,the understanding of relevant policies,laws and regulations is limited. |
