Research On The Identity Of Youth Sub-cultural Groups From The Perspective Of Ritual Communication

E-sports is an important branch of sub-cultural research.In recent years,it has developed into a world-class sport.E-sports events is the core of the spread of this sport.From the perspective of ritual communication,this article takes e-sports sub-cultural groups as the research object,combines ritual communication theory,and uses observation methods,interview methods and text analysis methods to analyze the ritual performance process of e-sports events.This article enriches the field of communication research and sub-cultural research by studying the group identity of the young people involved,and provides more directions for the research of e-sports groups.In the overall structure of this article,firstly,through combing the concept of ritual communication and its research scope,explains the ritual communication characteristics of "League of Legends" e-sports events,laying the foundation for subsequent research;secondly,exploring the construction of symbol system in the process of e-sports event ceremonies and performances,and how do symbols participate in the production of the meaning of ritual performance;thirdly,analyze how the youth sub-cultural group participates in the production and diffusion of ritual meaning;finally,in an open and free cultural production environment,how to construct group identity,and what value and influence it brings to the three aspects of society,economy,and culture.Research has found that e-sports event is a large-scale ceremonial exhibition activity,the symbol system in the event creates a scene and field for ceremonial dissemination,and guides the collective participation of the group.E-sports events transmit symbols to the group through the ceremonial dissemination of the event,and group members interpret the symbols through online and offline meaning exchanges,and participate in the sharing and diffusion of cultural meanings.During this process,group members have completed the cognition and construction of group identity,generated and maintained a sense of group identity,and formed collective memory.Collective memory strengthens group emotions,shapes group beliefs and group honors,and makes group members tend to a certain value,and a specific culture.This identity is conducive to social integration,economic promotion and cultural development.
