The Influence Of Parental Conflict On Children’s Problem Behavior:the Chain Mediating Effect Of Emotional Insecurity And Negative Defense Mechanism

Children’s problem behavior is a phenomenon that children’s behavior is different or deviated from that of normal peers in the process of individual development due to incomplete psychological or physiological development or other external factors.Its adverse consequences will affect individuals,families,schools and society.Children’s physiology and psychology are in the stage of rapid development,psychological state and behavior are prone to fluctuations,and the children aged 10-13 are in the pre-adolescent period,which is the high incidence group of problem behavior.In this study,10-13-year-old children were selected as the research objects.Based on the theory of emotional security under reconstruction,children’s perceived parental conflict was taken as the dependent variable,and emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism were selected as the mediating variables.The concept,scale and related research of problem behavior,parental conflict,emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism were systematically investigated,this paper puts forward the research hypothesis and model,and collects the relevant data of 364 primary school students of Grade 5-6 in Chengdu by stratified sampling and random sampling.It uses spss26.0 for correlation analysis and regression analysis of the data,and uses mplus8.3 to verify the fitting degree of the model,and then explores the path coefficient of the model,so as to verify whether the foreign theory is applicable to China It also provides theoretical basis and practical guidance for solving children’s problem behavior and healthy growth.The main findings of this study are as follows:(1)children perceive a moderate parental conflict,and have a moderate level of problem behavior,emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism.(2)All the variables were correlated.Parental conflict has a direct positive predictive effect on children’s problem behavior,that is,the stronger the perceived parental conflict is,the problem behavior is;parental conflict can positively predict emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism,emotional insecurity can also positively predict social defense;and parental conflict,emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism can positively predict children’s problem behavior For.(3)Parental conflict also indirectly affects problem behavior through emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism,which includes three kinds of influence paths: emotional insecurity has a separate mediating effect between parental conflict and problem behavior,negative defense mechanism has a separate mediating effect between parental conflict and problem behavior,emotional insecurity and negative defense mechanism has a separate mediating effect between parental conflict and problem behavior The chain mediating effect between them.This study verifies that the reconstructed emotional security theory is also applicable to Chinese children,and provides an appropriate theoretical basis for the development of children’s social work;and in the future social work services,children can use more positive defense mechanisms to reduce their problem behaviors by improving their emotional insecurity.
