With the improvement of China’s comprehensive strength and the development of overseas students’ Education in China,the type and quantity of overseas students in China have gradually changed qualitatively,and more and more foreign students in secondary vocational colleges.As an indispensable part of foreign students’ curriculum,the main function of Chinese culture course is to help foreign students understand Chinese culture and Chinese values and behavior patterns.In addition,Chinese culture course also plays an important role in the ability of foreign students to use Chinese.In this context,this paper takes five secondary vocational schools in southern province as an example,through the questionnaire,students interviews,teachers interviews and other ways to understand the current situation of Chinese culture courses in secondary vocational schools,and put forward constructive suggestions.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the research significance,research methods,literature review,core concept definition and related research of Chinese culture course in overseas students’ education.In the literature review,it mainly introduces the definition and development,curriculum setting,teaching content,teaching methods and textbooks of Chinese culture course in the domestic and foreign literature,so as to outline the development and current situation of the research on Chinese culture course at home and abroad.The second part of the thesis is about the general situation of the Chinese culture course of the foreign students in the secondary vocational colleges.This part mainly includes: the analysis of the situation of the foreign students in secondary vocational schools,the introduction of the nationality distribution,language basis and learning needs of the foreign students in secondary vocational schools,and the overview of the curriculum setting of Chinese culture education for the foreign students.The third part of the paper is the investigation and problem analysis of the Chinese culture course of the foreign students in secondary vocational colleges.By means of questionnaire and interview,the author investigated the relevant situation of Chinese culture courses in five sample colleges.On the basis of questionnaire data and interview records,this paper analyzes the basic situation of the school,the basic situation of teachers,teachers’ teaching attitude and difficulties encountered in teaching,students’ basic situation and learning needs.The fourth part of the paper is the author through the investigation to understand the current problems of Chinese culture course in secondary vocational colleges,from the curriculum setting,teaching implementation,curriculum materials and teachers building these aspects,put forward the corresponding improvement suggestions.
