Based on the global trend of development in the integration of the background,many aspects of human life have been involved in the tide of globalization,and the development of education can not be independent from outside. In order to correspond with the call of the times,all countries around the world not only widely participat in theoretical studies Education for International Understanding(EIU),but also promote the implementation of Education for International Understanding(EIU)through various forms of organization.Taiwan education authorities promulgated "National primary and secondary school grade 1-9 curriculum guidelines " put forward the basic concept, and cultivate students effective application of Chinese language,thinking,comprehension,reasoning, coordination, appreciation and creation,to expand the life experience and the multipre perspectives,intheface of the international trend.Elementary school "Mandarin" textbook reflects the educational goals and curriculum objectives, and is the main medium of communication between teachers and students, and the current international understanding of the implementation of the education is one of the important ways of penetration. Therefore, it is great significant for us to study the international understanding education content in the textbooks of primary school "Mandarin" in Taiwan area of China.This research divides the international understanding education into three major themes: international issues, international culture and international connection,and select Taiwan Kang Hsuan Culture Corporation published in 2012 primary school "national language" textbook as the research object. In reference to the previous research literature foundation,using the content analysis method in Kang Hsuan primary school "national language" textbook of Education for International Understandingcontent analsis,to understand the subject matter of the presentation and distribution situation,and draw the conclusions of the research and put forward thoughts and suggestions for the existing problems.Existing advantages of Education for International Understanding contents in Kang Hsuan primary school "national language" textbooks: first, the quantity with grades showed an increasing trend,and physical and mental development of students is coincident with the law; second, textbooks relating to international understanding of educational content selected text source " double-barreled " connotation " pronged ";third, showing the diversity of the genre selected text, lively form; fourth, content is rich and colorful,and the themes widely distributed; fifth,reasonable distribution of selection of the times,and paying attention to the contemporary culture; sixth, support content in textbooks, but also help students enhance attention to education for international understanding content. There are shortcomings: first, textbooks related to the country and intercontinental unevenly distributed, and there is a obvious tendency of "power", "great power";second,reflect the three themes of Education for International Understanding selection of uneven distribution,and the themes of a serious imbalance in the distribution;third,selected articles more presents the international cultural commonality,and international cultural differences awareness is not enough;fourth, the tendency to the male as the center, not conducive to recognizing the female on the development of human society to make contribution;fifth,textbooks attach too much importance to the teaching of knowledge and ability of the training, is not conducive to the formation of students’ practical action;sixth,the modern literature both at home and abroad is less, which is not conducive to the students a thorough understanding of international culture.Finally, To understand the shortcomings of international educational content in Kang Hsuan primary school "national language" textbooks, and better promote the education for international understanding in elementary school Mandarin subject disciplines.The author from the department of education, the curriculum standards,textbookwritten, teacher quality four aspects proposes thinking recommendations,which bring about enlightenment of compilation of Chinese textbooks in mainland China.
