| For secondary school students,schooling is their main task in school,and the stress brought by school has also become the main stress on middle school students.Academic stress is divided into exogenous and endogenous pressure.When the individual’s endogenous academic stress is large,avoidance behaviour,that is,delayed behaviour will occur.Junior high school students are in the stage of adolescence,and their body and mind are in a critical stage of development.Long-term academic delay will reduce the learning efficiency of middle school students and damage the mental health of middle school students.Therefore,this study focusses on analysing the relationship between academic stress and academic delay,and tries to explore the mechanism of action between them.Using the questionnaire method,597 students from Jiangsu Provincial Local Middle School were selected to investigate.The study stress questionnaire for secondary school students,the Aitken Procrastination questionnaire(secondary school student version),the academic help behaviour questionnaire and the peer relationship scale were used as research tools to explore their relationship and draw the following conclusions:(1)Different grades have a significant impact on the academic delay of junior high school students,and there are more delay behaviours in the second grade of junior high school.Different genders and the education level of parents will not have a significant impact on the academic delay of junior high school students.The academic stress of junior high school students is significantly different in gender,and girls have more academic stress.There is a significant gender difference in academic help-seeking among junior high school students,and there are more girls than boys.The difference in parental education is significant,and the higher the academic qualifications,the more help behaviours there are.The difference in peer relationship between junior high school students is significant in gender,and girls are more likely to develop social inferiority psychology;in the grade,the difference is significant,and the partner relationship in the second grade of junior high school is better.(2)The academic stress of junior high school students can positively predict academic procrastination,that is,the greater the academic stress,the more serious the individual’s academic procrastination.(3)Academic stress can affect the academic procrastination of junior high school students through part of the intermediary role of academic procrastination.Individuals with high academic stress,the more academic help behaviours,and the fewer academic delay behaviours.(4)The intermediary effect of academic help-seeking is regulated by peer relationship,that is,at a high level of peer relationship,academic help-seeking can negatively affect the academic procrastination of junior high school students;at a low level of peer relationship,the negative impact of academic help-seeking on academic procrastination is weakened.According to the research results: On the part of parents,strengthen students’ communication with parents.In terms of teachers,teachers understand the situation of students and improve their professional literacy.On the school side,the school adopts various means to relieve the academic stress of students and help students build good peer relationships with their classmates. |
