| Housing in China has a cultural meaning that is different from that of Western countries, including the family pursuit of "living and working in peace and contentment" from ancient times to the present. With the release of the report of the19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the topic of housing happiness continues to rise.Youth groups are a new force in the topic of housing accommodation. For urban youth, housing issues are a part of their growth.Judging from the growth process of urban youth, their housing happiness is greatly influenced by the times and individuals. The shift of physical distribution of housing to monetary distribution, the transformation of family support in housing distribution to monetization, and the development of family nuclei, have prompted changes in the housing choices of urban youth.Changes in the housing system, individual life opportunities, and the combination of macro and micro have become an important lens in the life course.Housing reforms that contemporary young people have never experienced or experienced in their elders have brought different effects on their individual perceptions. And the important life events experienced by young people such as employment, housing acquisition, marriage, etc.are also not experienced by other age groups. Therefore,in order to deeply understand and explain the relationship between the housing status and subjective well-being of the current urban youth groups in China,it is necessary to fully consider the characteristics of the youth groups themselves, the changes in the housing market structure in which the group is located, the macro institutional environment, and family-based values.Cultural environment.Based on the perspective of life course theory and individualization theory, this paper uses the data of China Comprehensive Social Survey CGSS2017 to investigate the impact of urban youth housing property rights on subjective well-being.In addition, this paper incorporates family factors into the research model of housing and well-being,and divides the family composition into family demographic composition, family emotional composition, and marriage composition of major events in the lives of young people. Finally,an interactive model outside the main effect is formed..The study found that 1.Urban youth’s housing property rights have a significant impact on subjective well-being,and those who own housing property rights will have a higher sense of happiness;2.The impact of housing property rights on subjective well-being is heterogeneous, depending on region and gender.Different grouping factors such as marriage(with or without spouse),fertility status, years of education, income status, etc.have different effects;3.Under the home-based culture, the interaction between family composition and housing property rights will have a subjective effect on urban youth Happiness has an impact, and this impact has heterogeneous performance in gender groups: the interaction terms between urban female youth with children or spouses and housing property rights, and the interaction terms between urban male youth family pressure and housing property rights have significant effects. This research discusses the relationship between youth’s housing property rights and subjective well-being,and helps us to understand the impact of China’s market reforms on individual life opportunities and subjective experiences. It is of great significance to enrich the research perspective of housing well-being and the government’s housing policies for youth groups. |
