Practical ability is not only an important part of students’ core literacy,but also an important factor for each individual to achieve overall development.However,the traditional teaching methods and the current talent selection system still face many difficulties and challenges in the cultivation of primary school students’ practical ability.In July 2020,the Ministry of Education issued the《Guiding Guidelines for Labor Education in Universities,Middle Schools and Primary Schools(Trial)》,which clarified the goals and content of labor education and proposed that labor education should be incorporated into the entire process of talent training.The training of practical ability runs through labor education,and the two complement each other.The development of students’ practical ability is not only the basic goal of basic education curriculum reform,but also the value appeal of cultivating students’ core literacy.Therefore,it is imperative to pay attention to the cultivation of students’ practical ability.Based on the research foundation of predecessors,this research uses practical philosophy,Dewey’s pragmatism pedagogy,multiple intelligence theory,and constructivist theory as the theoretical basis to construct a structural model of primary school students’ practical ability,and explores primary school students by focusing on the cultivation of current primary school students’ practical ability The status quo and problems in the process of cultivating practical ability,and then to explore effective ways to cultivate students’ practical ability.Based on this background,this research has determined four specific research goals:(1)clarify the connotation,characteristics and structure of pupils’ practical ability;(2)compile pupils ’ practical ability assessment questionnaire;(3)apply questionnaires to investigate pupils ’ practical ability Cultivation status;(4)According to the results of the questionnaire analysis,put forward scientific and effective strategies for cultivating primary school students ’ practical ability.This research combines qualitative and quantitative analysis,and comprehensively uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview and statistical analysis methods to carry out research work.The following is the research process and conclusions:(1)Through the literature analysis method,the connotation and characteristics of the concept of primary school students’ practical ability are clarified.Based on the pedagogical standpoint,“primary school students’ practical ability” is defined as:in practical activities,primary school students combine school educational resources and use certain knowledge and skills The thinking and behavior skills necessary to solve practical problems.;Features include comprehensiveness,contextuality,migration,practicality,and creativity.(2)Based on the existing structure hierarchy,the primary school students ’practical ability structure was constructed as a model containing 5 first-level dimensions and 14 second-level dimensions,and based on this,an initial questionnaire was compiled.A trial test was conducted on 190 primary school students.Through the item analysis,reliability test,and validity test of the initial questionnaire,it was determined that there were 5 first-level dimensions(subject practice ability,production and labor ability,interpersonal communication ability,and survival adaptability.,Cultural and sports activities)and 12 secondary dimensions(exploratory experiments,confirmatory experiments,design and production,agricultural labor,industrial labor,social services,independent expression,division of labor,housework,environmental adaptation,sports activities,cultural activities)Structure model and formal questionnaire.A formal questionnaire 310 was issued and recovered,and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was performed on the data through SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0 software tools,and the weight value of the evaluation index was calculated through factor analysis.After calculation and standardization,5 levels The index "discipline practical ability","productive labor ability","interpersonal communication ability","survival adaptability","cultural and sports ability" in the practical ability ratio is 0.25:0.32:0.12:0.12:0.19.(3)Using the self-compiled questionnaire to evaluate the practical ability of primary school students with good reliability and validity,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 500 junior high school students,and the basic situation and problems of the current primary school students ’ practical ability development were initially grasped.From the perspectives of schools,teachers,etc.,corresponding cultivation strategies are proposed.This research focuses on the investigation of the status quo of primary school students’ practical ability training,and can also provide reference value for the research on practical ability training of other school stages,so as to better promote the formation of primary school students’ core literacy and ultimately realize the overall development of human morality,intelligence,physical education,and labor.
