Team job crafting is a new perspective in the theoretical research of job crafting,and it emphasizes that employees lead and adjust work in a collaborative manner,which is important for kindergarten teachers who work in groups in their daily work.Work engagement is a positive and pleasant working state.As an important influencing factor of team job crafting,it is valued by scholars at home and abroad.Therefore,this research is based on the theory of team job crafting,taking kindergarten teachers as the research object,through the combination of qualitative and quantitative research,compiling scientific and reliable measurement tools,and use this to investigate the current situation of our country’s kindergarten teachers’ team job crafting and its relationship with work engagement.This study contains three studies.Study one is the development of a measurement tool for preschool teachers’ team job crafting.Conduct qualitative interviews with 28 kindergarten teachers through the interview method to explore the structure of the team job crafting of kindergarten teachers under the background of Chinese culture;The preliminary test questionnaire was established by inviting relevant experts and front-line teachers to evaluate,group discussion and analysis,and then screen and modify the questions;Through the distribution of preliminary test questionnaires,kindergarten teachers in 22 provinces,5 autonomous regions,and 4 municipalities across the country were tested.A total of 1880 questionnaires were issued,and 1660 questionnaires were effectively returned.After project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability and validity testing,etc.,the measurement tools that each indicator meets the psychological standards are finally formed.The second study is to investigate the current situation of the team job crafting of kindergarten teachers in China.Using the kindergarten teachers team job crafting measurement tool compiled by Study One,through a questionnaire survey,1600 kindergarten teachers from all over the country were selected.In this way,we examine the overall status quo of our country’s kindergarten teachers’ team job crafting and the differences in demographic variables.The third study is to explore the relationship between team job crafting and work engagement of kindergarten teachers in China.The study uses questionnaire survey methods to collect data,and through correlation analysis and regression analysis,explores the relationship between team job crafting and work engagement of kindergarten teachers in China.The research results are as follows:(1)The structure of team job crafting of kindergarten teachers in China includes three aspects: team task crafting,team cognition crafting,and team relationship crafting.The self-compiled questionnaire has good psychometric indicators and can be used as a measurement tool to reshape team job crafting of kindergarten teachers in China;(2)The team job crafting of kindergarten teachers in China is generally in the upper middle level.Relatively speaking,the degree of team cognitive crafting of kindergarten teachers in China is the highest,while the degree of team task crafting is the lowest;(3)There are significant differences in team task crafting and team cognitive crafting among kindergarten teachers with different working years.The kindergarten teachers with more than 10 years working experience have significantly higher than those with less than4 years working experience.(4)There are significant differences in team task crafting and team relationship crafting among kindergarten teachers with different educational backgrounds.The kindergarten teachers with senior high school and below are significantly lower than those with junior college or above.(5)There are significant differences in team task crafting among kindergarten teachers with different positions.The childcare teachers are significantly lower than the main and deputy class teachers;(6)There are significant differences in team task crafting and team cognitive crafting among kindergarten teachers with different grades.The indergarten teachers of lower grades(2-3 years old)are significantly lower than teachers of other grades;(7)There are significant differences in the total score and three dimensions of team job crafting among kindergarten teachers with different regions.The kindergarten teachers working in towns and rural areas are significantly lower than those working in cities or counties;(8)Regression analysis shows that the team job crafting of kindergarten teachers in China and its various dimensions are significantly positively correlated with the level of work engagement. |
