| Kindergarten "assistant" teachers is a special group of teachers,which appear in the context of the rapid development of preschool education.In order to avoid the hidden danger due to high teacher-children ratio and to guarantee the quality of education,in response to the unanimous appeal of our country to increase the rate of admission,expand the resources of high-quality education and improve the quality of education,the Group leaders propose to equip kindergartens with "assistant" teachers on the basis of the original "two teachers and one child-care worker".Therefore,"assistant" teachers function to ease the negative impact of the excess number of class students.In the face of such a special group of kindergarten teachers,This essay aims to probe into the issues generated by this phenomenon,including the necessity of this post and how to speed up the construction of a high-quality,cooperative "assistant" teachers team.In this study,the object was 68 "assistant" teachers from five public kindergartens in an certain group of Fuzhou,and questionnaires were distributed to all "assistant" teachers and the teachers in their classes.Interviews were conducted randomly with 16 kindergarten administrators,48 teaching staff and all "assistant" teachers.Combined with literature method and observation method,and then the author analyzed the results and problems of the "assistant" teachers from the aspects including "assistant" teachers’ background,basic situation,post attitude,duty performance and professional accomplishment.On this basis,the author puts forward some suggestions to strengthen the building of "assistant" teachers team.The research results show that the main achievements of the "assistant" teachers in kindergarten are as follows: promoting the development of class work and improving the quality of education;improving the teacher-child ratio and making it close to or up to the standard of teacher-student ratio;adding a barrier to the safety of young children;promoting the professional growth of "assistant" teachers themselves;forming a team force and being unanimously recognized.The main problems are as follows: the employment of some "assistant" teachers is not in accordance with the eligibility criteria;the professional quality of "assistant" teachers needs to be further improved.From the perspectives of the Group,the kindergartens,and the "assistant" teachers,this research aims to explore the influencing factors,and to propose suggestions on how to fasten the development of "assistant" teachers team. |
