| After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,our country was faced with the four important tasks of modernization,and the gap in technology and talents was very prominent.Sending overseas students to study the advanced technology in other countries is the most effective way to solve this problem in the short term.In order to create a good political environment,the party and the government attach great importance to the implementation of all policies related to overseas students.From striving for the return of the foreign students to participate in the socialist modernization construction to the implementation of specific policies for the proper placement of overseas students returning to the country,these are all reflected that the party and government take the lead and spare no effort on gathering overseas students,a large group of talents,to return to serve the country.Since the reform and opening up,our country study abroad has developed rapidly,and the number and quality of overseas students have increased significantly.However,theoretical research has just started,and the overseas study policy is not systematic and standardized.This article sorts out and summarizes the ideological and political education of overseas students since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.The research content is mainly divided into five parts,which is as below.The first part is the introduction,establishing the research basis,significance and framework of the thesis topic selection through the research background,literature review,research ideas and research methods.The second part is the context of the situation of overseas student dispatch since the founding of New China.Taking time as the node,the dispatch situation of overseas students is sorted into four stages.The first stage is from 1949 to 1956: mainly sending overseas students to countries in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe;the second stage is from 1966 to 1976: students study abroad suffered setbacks during the Cultural Revolution;the third stage is from1978 to present: the stage of increasing the intensity of sending overseas students.It is explained in detail for the changes and main contents of the country’s overseas study policy at each stage,mainly focusing on the Chinese government’s attention and support to the study abroad policy.The third part is the main methods of ideological and political education for overseas students since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,summarizing the fruitful ideological and political education work carried out by our party and government mainly from the following four aspects.Firstly,relying on various institutions to strengthen the education and management of overseas students.Representatives from the EU Classmates Association and the Association of Chinese Scientists in the United States,discuss how organizations and institutions can strengthen the education and management of overseas students.Secondly,use online media and newspapers for publicity and publish related publications to appeal to the whole society to understand and pay attention to overseas students.Thirdly,the party and the government have successively issued a series of related policy documents and issued preferential policies to encourage overseas students to return to work in China,and implemented a special plan to attract overseas students to return to China.Fourth,give full play to social forces and establish an overseas united front.Starting from activate the patriotic sentiments of overseas students,guide overseas students to return to China to make contributions based on the theoretical perspective of the united front.The fourth part is the main content of the ideological and political education of overseas students since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Under the open and changeable international situation,the ideological and political education of overseas students faces many challenges,which are difficult and complex.The main content of the ideological and political education work includes three aspects:political investigation of overseas students,patriotism education,and ideals and belief education.The party and the government should master the leadership and discourse power of the ideological and political education of overseas students,and make every effort to overcome the complexity of the ideological and political education of overseas students.The fifth part is the experience and enlightenment of the ideological and political education of overseas students since the People’s Republic of China.It sorts out the shortcomings and prospects of ideological and political education in our country,and summarizes the experience and enlightenment for the future ideological and political education of our government.The party and the government are committed to improving the country’s comprehensive strength,strengthening the education of patriotism for the vast number of overseas students,improving the content of ideological and political education,establishing a pre-training mechanism for ideological and political education of overseas students,and helping overseas students to establish firm political self-confidence.Fully mobilize their enthusiasm to devote themselves to the practice of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. |
