High school stage is an important period of life growth,which is of great significance for students to choose their future development direction.Learning is the most important topic in high school life,in which high school students not only face heavy schoolwork pressure but also high intensity study pressure that is easy to produce learning burnout.Learning burnout has a negative impact on individual academic performance and mental health.There are many factors affecting learning burnout,including internal factors such as gender,grade,personality traits,self-esteem,coping styles and other individual characteristics,and external factors such as social support and cultural environment in society.Among the factors that influence learning burnout,parenting style has a profound influence on individual learning activities,and time management tendency and achievement motivation as internal factors also play a key role in the influence of learning burnout.Taking high school students as the research objective,this study explores the relationship among parenting style and learning burnout,analyzes and discusses the influence of demographic variables and the mechanism of time management tendency and achievement motivation respectively in the relationship between parenting style and learning burnout,so as to provide suggestions and advice for reducing students’ learning burnout.This study regards "parenting styles questionnaire","time management disposition scale","achievement motivation scale","middle school students’ learning burnout questionnaire" as research tools,and conducts questionnaire survey among620 middle school students of two high schools in a city to explore the relationship among parenting styles,time management tendency,achievement motivation and learning burnout of high school students.The following results were obtained through the investigation:(1)High school students have better time management tendency;High school students have strong achievement motivation;The learning burnout of high school students is in the middle level.(2)In terms of gender,there are significant differences among the total score of achievement motivation,the dimensions of pursuit of success,the total score of learning burnout and the dimensions of teacher-student alienation.(3)In terms of profession,there is a significant difference in the dimensions of maternal emotional rejection,but there are no significant differences in time management tendency,achievement motivation and learning burnout.(4)In terms of different schools,there are significant differences between paternal emotional warmth dimensions,maternal emotional warmth dimensions,paternal emotional rejection dimensions,maternal emotional rejection dimensions,father’s overprotection dimension of parenting styles and sense of time value dimension of time management tendency.But there are no significant differences in achievement motivation and learning burnout.(5)In terms of non-single child,there are significant differences in the emotional warmth dimension between the father and the mother of parenting styles,but there are no significant differences in time management tendency,achievement motivation and learning burnout.(6)In terms of the grades,there are significant differences in the total score of time management tendency and the dimension of time monitoring view,the dimension of time efficacy,the total score of achievement motivation and the dimension of pursuit of success motivation,and the dimension of physical exhaustion of learning burnout.There is no significant difference in terms of parenting style.(7)In terms of educational level of father,there are significant differences among paternal emotional warmth dimensions,maternal emotional warmth dimensions of parenting styles,and the total score of time management tendency,time monitoring view dimension and time dimension of self-efficacy and the total score of achievement motivation,the pursuit of success motivation dimension and the total scores of learning burnout,emotional exhaustion dimension,distance dimensions between teachers and students.(8)In terms of educational level of mother,there are significant differences among the dimensions of paternal emotional warmth,maternal emotional warmth of parenting styles,total score of time management tendency,time monitoring views dimensions,time efficacy dimensions,total score of achievement motivation,total score of learning burnout,emotional exhaustion dimensions and perceived learning inefficiency dimensions.(9)Parenting style,time management tendency,achievement motivation and learning burnout are significantly correlated in pairs.Parenting style has a predictive effect on learning burnout.Paternal emotional warmth dimension negatively predicts learning burnout.Maternal emotional rejection and maternal overprotection are positive predictors of learning burnout.Both time management tendency and achievement motivation have a negative predictive effect on learning burnout.(10)Time management tendency plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between parenting style and learning burnout. |
