Effect Of Different Frequency Resistance Training Intervention On Male Obese College Students | | Posted on:2021-01-30 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:B Q Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306476456374 | Subject:Physical Education and Training | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: Observe the intervention effects of two different frequencies of resistance training on relevant indexes of male obese college students.To investigate the experimental conditions of high frequency and low load(HF-LV)and low frequency and high load(LF-HV)resistance training on body composition,muscle strength and body circumference of obese college students,and to discuss the mechanism of their changes.The improved use of crowd exercise prescription provides theoretical basis and practical guidance.Research Methods: This paper includes two phases of research,namely the pre-experimental research phase and the randomized controlled experimental research phase.(1)Pre-experimental research phase:This study has no controlled experiments and provides feasibility studies for formal experimental schemes.Fifteen overweight subjects(28.48 ± 0.73 kg / m2)were confirmed,and subjects meeting the criteria were trained for 4 weeks,twice a week for 40 minutes each time.Subjects were followed up before and after the intervention to assess muscle strength,body circumference and other related indicators.(2)Randomized controlled experimental research phase: Recruit 40 obese male college students who meet the inclusion criteria,and then randomly divide them into two groups 1: 1: A.20 high-frequency and low-load resistance training groups(HF-LV,30.46 ± 2.84 kg / m2),training four times a week.B.20 people in the low frequency and high load resistance training group(LF-HV,31.49 ± 4.36 kg / m2),trained twice a week.The design of the training plan was based on pre-experimental research and conducted an 8-week experimental intervention.Relevant research indicators were tested before and after the experimental intervention to observe the changes in subject body circumference,muscle strength and body composition.Results: 1.Pre-experimental research results: Subjects were more satisfied with the 4-week pre-experimental intervention without any adverse reactions.The body weight and muscle strength-related indicators of overweight subjects improved significantly,as reflected in the significant decrease in body weight,BMI index,and body fat content(P <0.05),and the muscle strength in all parts significantly increased(P <0.05).2.Randomized controlled experimental research results: The average attendance rate of the subjects was99.63% in the HF-LV group and 99.30% in the LF-HV group.All analyses are based on compliance with the Schema Set Analysis Principles(EFF).The results are as follows:1)Body composition: Compared with pre-experiment data after 8 weeks of intervention,except for no significant changes in basal metabolism in the LF-HV group(P> 0.05),other body composition indicators in both groups of subjects were significantly improved(P <0.05).The data of the two groups were compared horizontally after the intervention.The muscle content in the HF-LV group was significantly higher than that in the LF-HV group(P <0.05).2)Muscle strength: Compared with pre-experimental data after 8 weeks of intervention,the flexion and extension strength of both elbow joints and knee flexion and extension strength of both groups of subjects were significantly increased(P <0.05).After the intervention,the two groups of data were compared horizontally.Except for the bilateral knee extensions in the HF-LV group(P> 0.05),the other strength data were better than those in the LF-HV group(P <0.05).3)Body shape: After 8 weeks of intervention,compared with the data before the experiment,the arm circumference of both sides of the two groups of subjects significantly increased(P <0.05),and waist and hip circumferences decreased significantly(P <0.05).There was no significant change in lateral thigh circumference(P> 0.05).In addition,there was no significant difference in the horizontal comparison between the two groups after the intervention.Conclusions and recommendations: 8 weeks of HF-LV resistance training and LF-HV resistance training have significant effects on improving body composition,muscle strength and body shape of obese college students due to their sports characteristics.At the same time,HF-LV resistance training is more advantageous for improving muscle mass and muscle strength.It is recommended that obese people without a training foundation use a high-frequency training program to increase muscle mass and muscle strength when the load is balanced. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | resistance training, frequency, obesity, body composition, strength, body circumference | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
