Co-rumination is one of the most common dual relationship modes among college students, which refers to two people being together and discussing negative issues excessively. On the one hand,co-rumination can predict the occurrence and deterioration of internalized problems(such as anxiety and depression);on the other hand,it promotes the quality and intimacy of the relationship between the two parties in the problem discussion.Internalization problems and interpersonal relationships are both important factors that affect individual mental health, and they are also an important task for college students’ development. As researchers realize the importance and duality of co-rumination to individual mental health, this field has become a frontier and hot spot in the current Western psychological research. However, under the Chinese culture, the discussion of Chinese students’co-rumination theory and related empirical research are quite scarce.Based on the huge differences between Chinese and Western communication cultures and the conclusions of previous research,we propose to revise the Chinese localized "Co-Rumination”scale,and explore the level of Chinese college students’co-rumination and their psychological problems.Health impact, and provide a reference for improving the co-rumination level of college students.Around this goal,we conducted the following three studies:In Study 1,we summarized the existing related literature, combined with English professional translation, interviewed with psychologists and confirmation of the author of the original questionnaire, adjusted the content of the original questionnaire, and compiled the Chinese version of "Co-Rumination Questionnaire".Through reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis, divided the scale into three dimensions, including detailed discussion, repeated discussion and encouraging discussion,a total of 25 questions, the reliability coefficient of the total scale is 0.948,the validity coefficient is 0.934.and the scale is well structured. In study one, after summarizing existing relevant literature, combining English professional translation, interviewing with psychologists, and confirming the author of the original questionnaire, after adjusting the content of the original questionnaire, the Chinese version of "Co-Rumination" was compiled. The scale has 199 data collected.Through reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis, the scale is divided into three dimensions, including detailed discussion, repeated discussion, and encouragement of discussion. There are 25 questions in total. The reliability coefficient of the table is 0.948,and the validity coefficient is 0.934.The structure of the scale is good.Research two,we used the "Co-Ruminant Scale" revised in Research One to measure the current situation of co-rumination among 409 Chinese college students, and explored the impact of co-rumination on internalization problems(somatization, depression, anxiety),and proposed rumination and the quality of and friendship Hypothetical models of mediating and regulating roles played in them respectively. The results showed that the co-rumination of college students only had a gender difference in the dimension of encouraging discussion(p<0.05),which was manifested in the fact that girls scored higher than boys;co-rumination significantly predicted depression and anxiety levels(p<0.05),and rumination plays a complete intermediary role between co-rumination and depression and anxiety, and the quality of friendship plays a moderating role.Study three, based on the results of study one, combined with existing theories, put forward a group counseling training program that actively regurgitates.Through six interventions with ten group members, the result is that active joint rumination thinking training is effective for college students’ joint rumination intervention. The specific performance is that compared with before the intervention, the intervention targets significantly reduced their scores on detailed discussions(p<0.05),and also significantly reduced the depression and anxiety levels of group members(p<0.05),thereby improving the mental health of college students. Finally,it summarizes the theory and significance of this research, and puts forward some shortcomings and prospects.
